My girlfriend went to her house after school, and her sister wouldn't let her in, (girlfriends parents told her not too) so she waits a hour at the neighbors, she calls me sayin *** get me...i did.
waited for her parents to get home...-30mins

her mom goes and picks up my daughter from day care, we meet back up with her at the house knock on the door to *ASK* if we can get our daughter.... they refuse and say no. i ask them over n over if there gonna let me get my daughter out of the house.....they still said no......they have no right - custody over her or anything - i call it kidnapping.. they try to bargain ..= if they get what they want then I can get what i want which is my daughter

i left a lot of things out about my girlfriends parents how they think there in control of my daughter and even me to when i can see her = her mom also doesn't want my daughter or G/F to come over my house - and more stuff.....she the type of women like talking to a BRICKWALL- WHAT CAN I DO/??

If so do you raise them to believe in a vengeful God who dislikes anyone who doesn't do things his way, or does the God your children are growing up to believe in have a sense of humor? My children are growing up to know a God who has a sense of humor.

i read the story about the young girl who was abducted while she was on vacation with her parents. of course i feel bad for the little girl but her parents aren't the brightest. why on earth would you leave your four year old child ALONE with your two other children who are only two? who does that? and why would you think that's safe??

i was at the movies last night and i saw two little girls walking around with no parents that had to have been around 8 or 9 years old. i was never allowed out alone at that age. why do parents think they can just dump their child somewhere hand them a cell phone and assume they will be ok?

i do realize you can not keep an eye on your child every moment of every day. but some parents are completly irresponsible.

i would like to know other peoples opinions on this. nothing rude please.

Has anyone else thought what would be happening with the "maddie" case if it was a paid nanny or childminder/babysitter that has gone off so far away for a meal in peace!?

This happened today, i don't know where but it was on the news. Why would anybody be so cruel to a 2 month old baby!!! Where was the mother when he did that?!?! I I guess it is almost as bad as having an abortion though! What an idiot!

.. and secondly, do you think if the same thing happened to single parents (male or female), not doctors, then they would have been locked up ages ago?

My heart goes out to Madeleine, but really hope they get some kind of punishment if they find her safely.

My daughter is 4 years old. And I really don't feel that I need to be talking to her about saving herself for marriage, or sex issues. I feel she is just to young. My mother in-law, has never had a daughter, and she is always mentioning these adult subjects to my baby girl. She has also said that I did not need to allow my daughter to wear a 2 piece or even little tank tops, or shorts that are short. She said that if you start dressing them that way, it only ask for trouble later.
My daughter is only 4. I don't let her run around naked, and I do try to teach her the need to be somewhat modest, but I really feel that I need to wait until she is a little older before I have the sex talks with her. What do you think?

My 6 yr old and 4 yr old insist on messing about in the bathroom. They go in there in the night or very early in the morning and pour shampoo down the sink, play with the toilet roll, steal our toothbrushes etc. We have removed as many items as possible from the bathroom and issued various punishments, ie no pocket money, no going round friends, no bikes, etc. The behaviour stops for a couple of weeks but then it starts all over again! We are at the end of our tethers. So we decided to give them a shock, after a couple of warnings we took every single toy they own away and put them in the shed! We have told them if they behave for a week they will get one bag back, another week, another bag and so on. Do you think we are being too harsh? What do we do if this doesn't work! We have a younger boy too (14mths) who watches everthing they do and we are worried he will copy their bad behaviour also, and we will have three kids wrecking our house! It feels like we are just going under here!!

I work and my husband works and we send our kids to this great daycare. They teach them sign language, letters, numbers, colors, etc. They have thrived so much. (age 15 months and 29 months). I love that daycare. We have had some biting issues, but it is under control. The problem is I have my husband and his mother lecturing me on how I should take my kids out and send them to a cheaper daycare because it would save us 60.00 a week. But, the daycare they want to send them to doesn't teach sign language and have lessons throughout the day. It is just a big play place. I love that my kids are in an athome daycare where there are less kids. How can I explain to them? As the mother of these children, I should be the one making the decisions, right????

I am 36 weeks pregnant and in a inter-racial relationship. There are only a few people in my family who aren't prejudice. I was prepared to have my family quit talking to me and I had already begun to seperate myself when I started dating my boyfriend a year and a half ago. Instead of not talking to me, most of my family has said that I can come over with the baby, but I can't bring my boyfriend. My boyfriend has said that if they don't accept him, that he doesn't want them around his child. I agree. If the situation were reversed and his family had not accepted me, I wouldn't want them around the baby either. Despite their opposition, my family attended my baby shower and got a LOT of things for the baby. I feel guilty because my boyfriend doesn't want them to see the baby unless they are willing to accept him too. Is it wrong to keep my baby from them if they won't let my boyfriend come with me?

My bf of almost 2 yrs are taking a break to change some things and decided to wait till after summer to get back together cuz we wouldn't see each other at all over summer. The main issue was that I would flip out if we couldn't hang out one night. What would be our 2 yr anniversary is on Fri. and the day we lost our virginity to each other is on sat. Im upset that we won't be spending those days together. What are ways I can deal with it. We still talk everyday and hang out at school. It is just very hard cuz we are also best friends and have a special bond.

P.S. He just turned 17 and I am almost 17.
We won't see each other because he is on a traveling team for baseball. He also still tells me that im cute and hot and he still loves me a lot. I am not at all worried about him finding another girl cuz he tells me often how he can't wait for me to change the getting mad issue. He also wanted to make sure i wasn't just changing for him cuz no one should have to change for anyone. I

Interviewed to sit for a special needs child, the Mom seemed fine at the four hour interview and I gave her my references. Supposte to sit tomorrow. This morning the Mom called and now wants a copy of my drivers license and more references and a copy of a resume. I think this is asking way to much for only making five dollars a hour at her home. I am relieving the current sitter. Not sure how to tell the Mom her requirements do NOT match the pay scale and no longer interested in sitting? God knowes she would find other things to be pickey about. Your sugesstions are greatly appreciated. What is the going rate for caring for a special needs child? Thank you!

if your neighbors are home all day ALONE while their children are at school and you are home with a 1 yr old all day. then when your 4 and 7 yr old get home from school, the other kids parents just let their children come over EVERYDAY , ALL EVENING for me to tend too. they never ask or call, they just come. I never see parents checking on them or anything, its just up to me to watch them, it just doesnt seem fair to me that I am the one with the kids 24/7. what do you think? shouldnt they at least take a turn?

I'm 23. I don't have kids. Never been maried. But when I do settle down find my lady that loves me and that I love. The 2 of us will probably have 1 or 2 kids.

After they are potty trained; we will allow them be au natural in the house. As my wife and I both like to be without clothes at home.

I am around 37.5 weeks pregnant and my doctor keeps telling me not to gain anymore weight because I am measuring big and am probably going to have a big baby. She will probably be between 8-9 lbs when she is born. My son was 9lbs. 1oz when he was born. I had a c-section with my son and will be having another one with this baby. My doctor keeps telling me not to let the baby gain anymore weight or she won't be healthy. What are the health risks involved with having an 8 or 9 pound baby? In the beginning she said I should be trying to have a 6 pound baby but that seems too small to me.
