Don't panic!
He's still kind of young to know whether he's got a bedwetting problem for real yet. The percentage of kids who still wet after age 5 is a lot lower than those who do at age 3. And each year after that, fewer and fewer kids wet the bed.
But... if he's doing it all the time, he may have primary nocturnal enuresis, which is very common. The whole fluid limitation plan has a lot of critics. I know our family's tried it - and also tried increased fluids - and neither seemed to help.
Basically, you've got lots of remedies out there to try - from bedwetting alarms to biofeedback cd's to homeopathic or herbal tablets. The most important thing to do is to get the support, encouragement, and education you'll need to help your little guy learn to stay dry.

It is normal for a child of this age to wet the bed. Their bladder is not fully developed yet. Most children do not reach full bladder control until around the age of 7yrs. Most pediatricians will not do anything for a child younger than 7. Don't stress about it because your child will see this and it may prolong it. It may not be a good idea to use an alarm because that can disrupt the childs sleep pattern possibly causing more problems. Use a plastic sheet underneath his regular sheet for now and keep extra clean sheets where he can get them (if he can change the sheet himself). You can use pull ups if you want, but personally I never did...I wanted my children to realize when they were starting to wet and possibly wake up to it. The biggest thing is don't punish your child for it, it's not his fault.

My brother had this problem when he was little!! My mom would take him right before bed and like 2 times at night and still it would happen....He had to wear a pull up until he was like 6. My mom expressed her concern w/ his pediatrician and the dr said some times it just takes longer for it to register in a child head that he needs to go to the bathroom..but it will happen...! of course this was after the dr checked to make sure he didnt have any other medical conditions!! So if the dr says he is healthy then just put him in a pull up and still wake him up to go to the bathroom, but dont stress about it.

Nighttime incontinence is still very common with 3 year olds. It's not uncommon with 6 and 7 year olds. Your son is most likely a heavy sleeper and just does not wake up when he has to urinate. Talk to your pediatrician, but he/she will probably tell you it's too early to take drastic action like setting alarms, using medication. You're just setting everyone up for frustration if you really make this an issue so early.

wake him up in the middle of the night. stop drink intake 2 hrs before his bed time. try pull ups. my son had an issue with wettting the bed till he was 6 yrs old. He was such a sound sleeper he had difficulties waking up in the night and his bladder was too small for him to wait till morning.

Use pullups. It is normal for a 3 year old to wear these to bed. My five year old still wears them and our pediatrician said its normal even for this age to wet during the night. Just be patient and one day he will wake up dry.

I used to wet the bet when i was younger. My step dad tried to set an alarm clock and dehydrate me and punish me for it. When I stayed the night at other peoples houses I didnt. So the reason was him and the stress he caused. Hes only three. He should grow out of it.

Buy pull ups for bedtime. He will most likely outgrow it on his own. Don't make a fuss, just tell him it will help keep him and his bed clean at night. My son wet at night until he was 5.

This is a common problem, especially with males. My son outgrew it eventually, the pediatrician had to tell me to not worry for years.... Buy the pullups, save yourself and him the aggravation of waking up wet and cold, and all that bedding to wash everyday....
