To all you prudes, repeat after me, there is NOTHING wrong with nudity!!!!
Now, as to naked time around the house, you will just have to set boundaries and teach them when it is appropriate, and when it is not, to be naked.
I was raised in a prudish household, and as an adult had many, many hangups. As I did not want my son to go through the bs I did, I made nudity no big deal in our home. He showered with me occassionaly until he was 6 or so.
When he turned around 10 he started to exhibit signs of wanting privacy when he was nude, and didn't want to see me naked then either.
So, I say go for it, your kids will be just fine, and better off than the kids that are taught their bodies are somehow "bad".
Nudity rocks!!!

Unfortunately the responses you've already had show how mis-informed and prejudiced people are towards something different from that they see as "normal". I do wish society would get rid of the ridiculous idea that nudity equals sex and that children are somehow "harmed" at seeing others naked! As long time naturists my wife & I know many families where the children have been raised in a naturist environment and, to be honest, they're the best behaved, well-balanced, children we know! They don't have the sex obsession that other kids their age have as they've seen it all before and what the opposite sex looks like naked isn't a mystery, or a big deal, to them. It's no coincidence that the number of teenage pregnancies amongst naturist families is virtually zero. If you and your future wife are happy with the naturist way of life then I'd say there's no reason for you not to raise your children that way.

I'm not a nudist but I think that if this is something you believe in, it shouldn't hurt to teach your kids in what you believe in.....as long as they agree with you. If they don't than guide them into something they do believe in.
I think I would be more concerned about how well the world would treat it. I mean would you like your daughter going to school or daycare saying things like "my daddy and i run around naked" WOW that would put up a red flag.
I think being natural is a great thing to do, but it's the crap that goes on outside these days that will judge it for you and I'm sure that there is some ****** out there that will ruin for ya.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with raising a naturist or nudist family!
Good luck in finding the person to spend your life with! This is probably a valid discussion to have with any potential candidates at some point in your dating career. Both of you should enter the marriage knowing full well what the expectations and plans are for the future.
I've heard of many marriages which were split on the nudist decision; fortunately mine isn't like that - we both agree that its a perfectly natural and comfortable way to live!

RE:
Is it wrong to raise your kids as nudists ??
I'm 23. I don't have kids. Never been maried. But when I do settle down find my lady that loves me and that I love. The 2 of us will probably have 1 or 2 kids.
After they are potty trained; we will allow them be au natural in the house. As my wife and I both like to be without clothes...

Most certainly not. I'm in the same boat and mindset as you, and would love to raise a nudist/naturist family.
Keep in mind, however, that there are a lot of social prejudices against family nudism because there are some who are very dysfunctional and the wowsers like to taint them all with the one brush. If you wish to send your children to a public school, you need to advise them to be discreet about your chosen way of life as you've probably seen by some of the other answers not everyone has a pure and integral state of mind about nudity.
If you wish to know more about nudist parenting and its social effects, I would like to recommend a book to you called 'Growing Up Without Shame' by Dennis Craig Smith and Dr. William Sparks. Smith is now an occasional contributor to the official Yahoo! nudism group, which I've included at the foot of the e-mail. I'm sure that he would be happy to answer any other questions you might have.
Good luck to you.

OK you don't even have a woman in mind to marry and already you've decided she's a nudist. she might not be. raising a kid as a nudist is OK, if they are told from the beginning that there's a right time and place and that lots of people don't want to see even little kids without clothes on.

How do you know your future wife is going to like to be without clothes at home? Not everybody likes to run around naked. And yes, I think it's just wrong to raise your kids as nudists.

No. However, in today's society you will have to spend time teaching them the difference between a nudist lifestyle and an overtly sexual lifestyle. I would also tend to screen any resorts you attend since there is evidence some pedophiles like to hunt in the nudist recreation areas.

If that is the way that you want to raise your children, then that is your choice. But if your children decide that they would rather not be nudists then you should respect that decision and not force them to do something that they do not want to do.
