My son is 8 and he has always wanted to go shirtless in the summer. Do you think it's okay to go without a shirt, even if you're not swimming? Of course, if we go to a store he wears a shirt but when our little neighbor boy comes over to play he acts as if my son is naked or something and even tells him he's half naked. What do you think? Should I make him wear a shirt when he's outside playing? How about the park? If we're at the park and he wants to take off his shirt, is that appropriate? We were at wrestling practice one day and the shirt that he was wearing was very hot so he wanted to take it off while he practiced and one of the dads there started laughing and said no. I don't see anything wrong with it since he's a boy. My dad never wore a shirt in the summer unless he had to so we're just use to it. My ?? is: Am I letting my son run around half naked like people act like he is or are they overreacting!? When they're @ the pool, it's ok, what's the difference?!?!

if they left all their children, 3 and under, in an apartment in a foreign place whilst going out to a restaurant? Even if they made out, after the event, that they was checking in on them every half hour.

i dont really know where to start, so maybe with a litte background info. I'm 21, live with my mom & sibs ONLY because I'm a college student & trying to take care of an 18 mo. old @ the same time. but what I need is a way out. I can already see the wave of "get off your butt & quit mooching"...'lazy'...'denial'.... *eye roll* "shoulda kept your legs closed" "where theres a will theres a way" "stop making excuses" "get a job"...and the 10 million other paint-me-as-the-badguy things I've been told so far, so please try to listen & help, NOT judge. my baby was a rape baby I never chose to make her but I just couldnt give my flesh n blood to a stranger so I kept her. But now, living in my mom's house, is getting unbearable. She controls my every move, borrows most of my $(w/kickout threats if I dont give) never to be seen again & asks for me to pay groceries on top of it(which I mind a LOT less than the "borrowing").She plays mindgames with me, interrupts CONSTANTLY

I would like your opinion and help feedback. My daughter is 4 years old but will be 5 soon. She have been terrible behavior, stubborn, and refuse to listen. Does that mean she is ADD or ADHD? This is normal for behavior kids? Is this appropriate or inappropriate? She listen daddy more than mommy. We love my daughter so much no matter what! We want do best for her. Doctor said it normal and nothing wrong with her behavior. They said not relate to ADD or ADHD.

Food wise ... my roommate's 16 year old son has the diet of a child. He will only eat chicken nuggets and pizza. Yet he eats almost any non-food items, such as paper napkins, plastic bags, his socks, his shirts, his bedding, pillows, towels, etc.etc., that he can get his hands on. Originally I thought he was doing it unconsciously. That maybe it was some nervous habit thing that he wasn't aware of. But as I've gotten to know him, and by his own admission, he is perfectly aware of it but says he doesn't know why he does it. The whole limited food thing seems to be an immaturity thing. As I would think chewing would be too. But if so, at 16, shouldn't he be out growing these odd behaviors by now? I think he needs counseling or some kind of mental health treatment while my roommate feels it's just an irritating habit that he'll out grow.

I have a friend who has been in a relationship w/ this guy for a little over 3 yrs. In the past year, they have gotten a cat. She was telling me that since they started living together, the punishments for the cat have gotten worse. From what I understand, he doesn't just haul off & beat the crap outta the cat. She said that the cat WILL do something wrong, i.e. get into the garbage or be in stuff that it shouldn't be in, before the boyfriend does any "punishing." But from what it sounds like, it went from 1 or 2 lil smacks on the bum & a verbal scolding to a freakin' belt & yelling. Now, I'm not advocating any of those kinds of actions & it kinda scares me for her & their future kids' sake. Overall, he seems like a normal guy. He's never once, according to her, hit her, & to me he seems fairly calm w/o any "issues." I'm was just wondering if anybody has experience with such persons & knows if they've treated their kids in the same manner? I want to give her warning if need be.

I've given my daughter a quarter of an otter pop. I usually put the Popsicle in a fresh food feeder. She loves it, and it really helps her gums since she's teething. Should I have any worries? I know there isn't a lot of sugar in them. What do you guys think about this?

Like all those years you took care of them and all love you gave them. All the money you spent on them and all the happiness between you guys. When they decide to move out do u feel like they dont want you anymore? Do you feel like they would rather be alone then to be with you? Wut are your feelings when a child of yours moves out and possibly plans to move out to the other side of the country?

moms are great
Are u a momma?

You Know Your a Mom When...

1. You count the sprinkles on each kid's cupcake to make sure they're equal.
2. You find yourself cutting your husbands' sandwiches into cute shapes.

3. You can't bear to give away baby clothes - it's so final.

4. You hear your mother's voice coming out of your mouth when you say, "NOT in your good clothes!"

5. You stop criticizing the way your mother raised you.

6. You hire a sitter because you have't been out with your husband in ages, then spend half the night checking on the kids.

7. You say at least once a day, "I'm not cut out for this job", but you know you wouldn't trade it for anything

Hi there!

Can a boy have a dora the Explorer blanket? My 4 month old son is teething and Wal-mart has the blanket that has teething corners on it. It has Dora The Explorer on it. And before I buy it I want to know that it is OK for a boy to have this. I will not allow my boys to have anything girly at all. I have seen the show and like it. But, as far as the products out is it manly for girls or is it fine for a boy to have it.
Thanks,
Jennifer

My little sister is six months old. My 42 year old drunk drug abusing father had a baby with a woman who is 18 years younger than him and young enough to be my sister. (btw, im 20) They constantly get drunk and messed up around my sister and leave her home alone (at 6 mo) She always looks nasty. They just moved the trailer they are living in a few weeks ago, but instead of turning on any kind of utilities or water to take care of their children ( there are 3) they use the money to buy drugs pills and alcohol. Should I turn them into DHHS? Im afraid to because they will just get put into foster care and some foster homes are worse than that. Please help, I am worried about my 6 mo. old sis.
