YOU do nothing... it's a day for your baby's father to do special things for YOU. When older, your child should do things for you.

Happy 1st Mother's Day to you. You can either do everything and anything or do nothing and relax. On my first mother's day, my husband, my 2m son and i lay in bed all morning and watched movies. My husband then made a special lunch while i fed the baby. We went for a walk, saw my mother for a little while, and then called it day. Honestly, i didn't really care what i did, as long as a spent some time with my family. Now i have three sons that are 9, 7 and 3 with a baby girl due in September. It's still a tradition for me to do nothing all morning. My boys bring me breakfast in bed and show me all the things they made at school for me for mother's day. They give me flowers, a little gift and lots of kisses. But once noon hits, my day runs as normal, but with a little more help.

Still cooked, cleaned and changed umpteen diapers, and the only thing that has changed now is I hear my kids say happy mothers day before making messes and beating on each other.

I did the same thing I do every day--change diapers, wash dishes, do laundry, and vacuum.
