My 16 year old son is dating a 19 year old girl. Shes got a 1 year old son. Its not that shes a bad influence or anything, shes very nice sweet kind and helpful. I just think she is too experienced for him and she reminds me of the type of girl who would hurt him. Ive talked to him about it and told him I want them to break up but he doesnt listen to me. Ever since theyve been dating his grade have dropped and I found alcohol in his room. They are very much in love, I know they are I just think hes too young.

Ive thought about pressing charges against her (for statutory rape) but I dont know if thats too harsh, she has a baby and I think Id feel guilty for doing that. What do you think I should do ?

My 5 & 3 yr.-old daughters are extremely misbehaved when we go to the grocery store, mall,...etc. They run around like they are free from everything. I am so afraid that some "wierdo" will take 1 or both of my daughters when they are running around. A leash is an option, but I'm afraid that someone will report me for having a leash on them. And, of course, I can't spank them when we're out in public anymore. I don't want to go to jail for disciplining my own children. I could do what my father did when I was young...throw myself on the floor & throw a fit. I don't want to go to the "looney bin"!!! That is where I'll be when it comes to now days!!!!!! I can't afford "The Nanny" either!! Wish I could!
Help before I put myself in the "looney bin"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am pregnant with my 2nd child. The father of my first child is not in the picture nor has he ever been. My son is now 3 years old and pursuing him for child support would only confuse him. This is the thing I have health insurance through my husband but it turned out not to be that good. It would cost us $400 for the first 5 doctor visits without delivery cost or a sonogram. I have applied for medicade and they are telling me I have to fill out an absent parent form for my 3 year olds father so they can find him for child support. I don't want anything from him. As soon as my husband and I save enough money he is going to adopt my son. How can I still get help without giving them a name?

I am getting anoyed with this situation & really need to know if I am right or paranoid
One night over the xmas holidays, I heard things being thrown @ my window, when I went to the door (followed by my 5yr old child) I opened it & an old friend was trying to smash my window with my C bike & a stool, her hsbnd was standing @ my gate keeping watch for her. No objects worked; she was drunk & the stool top hit; not the legs, the bike just hit the bricks at the side of the window. It took ages to get her out the yard, she shouted & contd 2 throw things rund
We fell out in november. However her husband is the caretaker at my C school ( I am also a govenor there) my C no's the bike broke coz of her & mentions it all the time, I rung the head on the 1st day back & she said she would 'just change subject if child talked bout it' but there is only 11 kids in school, ctaker & my C see each other lots thru the day, C no's he was there coz he was shoutin @ me 2, Should he have done this

I am half way through my pregnancy and family members and sometimes even close friends of the family. Try to give advice on things they don't have a place give advice in. Things that boyfriend and I have to make a decision about. Things like how I should raise my daughter. I grew up in a city but i spent more of my time in the suburbs(where people in my family have come to say i act white). So i rather raise my daughter in a mixed neighborhood then just raise her in the city. Then people comment on how i discipline my daughter...such as whooping her when she dors something bad. I have never been whooped. My daughter isn't here yet and people already trying to give their two cents. I am more so saying what can i do to stop people from doing this toward me and has this ever happen to you?

My son was taken from my home when he was 2 weeks old ( born a month premi) He was 2 oz. shy his birth weight. And now the DSS and nurse that comes to your house is giving me a hard time. He is my first son and it kills me everyday/everynight when he's not with Me. Now I have to go to a shrink because they said I'm depressed. ( of corse your gonna be depressed when your child is taken from you when you had a dramatic delevory.) But I dont feel/seem depressed and I also have to go to parenting classes. Which is a slap-in-the-face when all the other mom's have their kids and I'm sitting there watching 'em all have fun together and my son's in a foster home with a little boy that likes to smack my son in the face. And he's only 10 months old so he can't defend him self. And if I say anything to the foster mom my case-worker will ***** at Me about it. Then they let the 'father' not sure if he is,let him see him when he abandoned him when he was a couple months old. I need help with this!!!

What if your single for the rest of your life? If you don't feel you don't want a partner, if there is no one else you want to be with apart from the person who doesn't want to be with you? What if you want a baby one day but never have a partner? Do you just go on living with out having children just because everyone else says you should be married or in a stable relationship to be a parent??

I am 25 years old, and my husband's co-worker has asked me to babysit his 2 kids (5 years old, and 18 months old) this Tuesday for about 5 hours at their house. No mention of payment has come up; should I charge them at all? I'm not some teenager doing this for extra pocket change... Its not like I'm a day care center worker. Should I still charge....? How much? When I was a babysitting teenager, I charged $3/hour, which seems like nothing now. Any suggestions/comments are appreciated! Thanks!!

he is my step kid, but this is the problum, when his dad is here he is a good kid, but when his dad leaves the first thing he does is pick up the phone, and he will be on that thing all day long. He does not do anyting around the house to help out.

And this is what i am worried about, he will be 18 soon, and his dad says that he is going to kick him out, so he can learn to be a man, we will be there if he needs it, but we both feel its time for him to grow up....

do you think that we are being hard on him?

I'm 25 years old and I want to have a kid VERY badly. I've wanted a kid for a couple of years now. My fiance (understandably) wants to wait until we get married before we start to have kids. I am seriously concidering looking into adopting (which she has no problems with... she just doesn't want to pop any kids out before we're married). How do I go about adopting a child (not necessarly a baby) as a single person? Is it possible for a single guy to adopt a child?

it scares me to know how many people in my neighborhood leave their kids home alone, a kidnapper would have a field day here.

The child is never left alone and has no special medical needs. His mother, who doesn't have custody, gave the phone to him. The child is allowed to speak with his mother whenever she calls him. His caretakers allow him to call his mother within reason. Why would she give him the phone in the first place?

I'm trying to think of new chores for my six year old to do (or if they are enough). Currently, she has to make her bed (which I think should just be done, and not a 'chore'), setting the table 2 times a week, help make dinner 1 time a week and helping to walk the dog/feed the dog 2 times a week. She also cleans the baseboards as needed. Anyone know any good chores to help with. She does earn allowance (or not if the chores are not done). I'm seeking imput/advice from other parents on what they do with their kiddos. Thanks!

I have been with my girlfriend for over 5 months now. She has a little boy of three from previous relationship. The littleboy has no contact with his real father. I notice a lot of things she does with him and how she handles him could be improved. He does play up an awful lot and is constantly throwing tantrums fo things and gets very angry and agressive, such as throwing his toys and hitting her when he has the hump. Whenever i suggest her trying a different approach etci gettold its none of my business and i have no right to say anything on how she brings him up. We watch supper nanny and lotsof programs like that but she never seems to pick up any good ideas from them, whereas i can clearly see how she can improve. His behaviour does impact on me to cause i can see her getting stressed out about it and i want to help her. Do i really not have a say in these matters? She wants me to be like a dad with him sometimes like taking him to his first day at school.

This looks like something out of a spy thriller but there are real... cool trianers/sports shoes that have a gps tracker in them and a panic button linked to a monitoring centre so you know where your kids are on the internet and the kid can tie his shoe laces and send s ignal to the cops etc hes in toruble and give his exact location and continually do so.

How many parents would get these for their kids?

http://www.woio.com/Global/story.asp?S=5885572&nav=0rd1

ie trainers with a GPS satellite tracker and panic button in them thats linked to a call centre.

Best bit would be if they got nicked the cops could follw the trainers

What you think?
