I can, I only work 2-3 days a week and the rest of my time is with my son. He goes everywhere with me and we are always playing and having fun.

Yes, I can actually say that I do. My children have only been babysat afew times in their life. The rest of the time they are with me. A couple times of the year I actually get to go shopping by myself while my husband watches them but other than that they are always with me. I am a PTA mom as well, I go to play groups and make use of the programs at my local library, so we are always busy doing something together. Even New Years is spent with my children. We go skating or to the movies. I figure when they are older and want to go out with their friends I will have time to go out then. They don't stay young forever. I am fortunate that I have been able to stay at home with them.

I have 2 young children, 3 yo daughter and a 4 mo. old son. I am in the Marine Corps so I'm gone a lot. I am currently on my second 7 month tour to Iraq. However, when I am home, I spend as much quality time with them as possible. I find its how well spent the time is, more than how much. Even after being gone all this time, my daughter refers to herself as "Daddy's Girl", and would rather go fishing with me when I'm home than go with her mom somewhere. And when you aren't with them, steady communication and interaction is important. For my daughter, I sent her a video of me reading her favorite book to her and my wife says that every night before bed she wants to "read with daddy." When he is old enough, I plan on doing the same for my son (He was 3 weeks old when I left). Have I spent a lot of time, no, but I have spent the time I had wisely.

Honestly, I don't know. I mean, my husband tells me I go overboard with our 14 month old, but then I feel like a bad parent if I get on the computer to e-mail a friend or play a game or something. I think only you can know for sure how much is "a lot" of time. I know that my son is a bright, wonderful, happy little boy, and sometimes, we both need a break from each other!

No I cant. I am a single mom of 4 kids so I work a full-time and a part-time job to give them a good life. Although, I spend every available min. I have with them when I am not at work. I save things like the internet and such for when they are asleep for the night. So as far as the time I have available yes, but the time I would like to no..

Yes, virtually every waking moment I do. With my boys being old enough to attend school full time now our time has decreased but when they are not at school we spend quite a lot of time together. It's only once in a blue moon that I find a sitter to have some me time and the rest of the time is spent with them.

Well yes, I had the children, who else should spend the time with them. It doesn't matter if they go to day care, or school. You have to spend quality time with them. They also need their time alone or with their friends. We make family night were we watch a movie together or play board games or go golfing. Anything is fine as long as you are together. Its not how much time but the quality of the time that you are together. Everyone should have their turn at what they would like to do, even the parents.

I spend a lot of time with my boys. I am home when they are (most days) and work when they are in school. If I could be at home all the time, I would. When we are together, we do many things as a family. Homework, watching TV, playing video games, playing indoors or out. It is almost always done together. Anyways, it's not the quantity of time, but quality of time. Make it count.

Yup! I am a stay at home mom! I am still nursing my 9 month old, so I never leave her. The only time I'm away from my son is when he's at preschool 2 times a week for 2 hours! :)
