Hi!! i am a mom to 4 children 9,8,6,4. My son Oscar's teacher taught his class in preschool a yummy and healthy snack:" Ants on a log" peanut butter spread on BANANAS (not celery, although that is healthy) then topped with any or all the following: raisins, chocolate chips, m&ms, butterscotch chips, or anything else my children could think of. We even renamed the treat to fit the differant kinds of topping we choose ex: "flies on a log" would be the one with choco chips (nestle).:) I really focus on fruits and veggies when it comes to snack time especially when it comes to the school year as i don't have the "eyes" to see what they are actulally eating at school. For the protection against illness and to combat the cancer cells already in all our bodies it is imparitive that we all eat plenty of fruits and veggies--doing it creatively is the hardest part. I also serve cut up fresh veggies with a couple of dressings as an option. I have found that if the child can dip and there are options to the dipping or building (in the case of ants on a log) they get thier full:) good luck!!

My 7 year old daughter's first grade teacher taught the class how to make "ants on a log." It's celery filled with peanut butter and raisins on top. My daughter loves this snack. My 5 year old son loves ice cream for a snack.

Right now their favorite snack is Yogos. They're little yogurt snack balls. My kids are 4, 7, and 8, but my 13 year old niece loves them too.

I have a 2 and 3 year old. They like tons of things- some of their favorite are; raisins, apples, popcorn, teddy graham crackers, and oddly enough, they truly do enjoy their veggies! My 2 year old pushes her plate back for more every time I give her any kind! :)

My kids are 10 & 11...they like a variety of things...fresh fruit, popcorn, chips, carrots (but they like to dip it in a little bit of ranch). My daughter loves olives. I am totally convinced that it's due to the salt. She also loves guacamole. How weird is that? Most kids don't like avacados. I guess it's a good thing that she does because avacados are full of the "healthy" fat that your body desperately needs. She's a skinny thing, too. Very healthy. I'm only 5'3", and my son is only 11 and he's 5'5"!!! He's a very good eater...loves food...so, my husband and I are careful to offer him a load of healthy foods to eat. Don't get me wrong, both of my kids love ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. I'm just careful to monitor how often I offer that to them.
