I noticed whenever its time to breast feed him he acts a bit bit stranger than he used to before. Whenever i'd call him or breastfeeding, he'd take the nipple and instead of sucking to eat, he'd flick it over and over with his tongue and constantly sucking at it.
what should I do?? He's not acting like himself.

Would you see this as too overprotective? Almost harmfully overprotective?
I'm 15 fyi

1. My father does not let me stay home alone. He sends his half blind half deaf mother over to babysit me, or he must take me along on every errand, no matter how small.
2. I am not allowed to sit in a movie on my own. Even if my mother and brother are in the same theatre but just different movies.
3. I'm not allowed to get the mail by myself.
4. I'm not allowed to do the laundry by myself (the laundry room is in the back yard) (we don't live in a bad neighborhood either)

This one doesn't have to deal with over-protectiveness but it just annoys me......he forces me to go to church every Sunday and won't let me become a Buddhist even though I've told him I don't believe in God and would rather practice Buddhism.

Do you think this is detrimental to a teenager's development?

Do you let your children play with toy weapons. Knives, swords and guns etc?
If so, why? and if not, why not?
I don't let mine play any kind of games involving weapons or violence. Will they suffer not being able to play them?

You hear more children getting in trouble by the law everyday. What makes children do this? Do you believe if more children today went to church like children back in the day would they think twice about breaking the law?

Please forgive my spelling as I am crying my eyes out trying to write this. I am 21 years old . I have 2 children all ready and 12 weeks along to have anther.
They are all by the same man. He is a great father to my son and daughter. But I am not to sure what kind of father he will be to this one.
When I was pregnet with my daughter and son it seemed like he was happy. This time around it dosent seem like he cares or even wants the thing. I am not that strong of a person to take care of 3 children on my own.I want to keep the baby. But i dont know. I know I wont have a abortion. Thought about adoption. But how do I know if these people that take my child are right ? How do I get over missing every thing? I really want this baby so bad but if he dosent want to be there than I have no choice but to give it up.
How do I make that descion?

In a non-violent, just friendly relationship (not married, just living together, i like u but not love u) is it always better to live together and let the kids (ages 7 and 9) think mommy and daddy are happily married? What if one of the parents (at least) would be much happier with someone they were actually in love with? Can two people co-parent successful and healthy children and also live their own life? At what age would children understand this?

i've never kicked a guy in the nuts. ever. i recently found out that my daughter has. we had a talk about when it's appropriate to do something like that, but sad as it is to say, i became a little jealous. even sadder, i though about how when i go out with my freinds, there are certain guys i could certainly do it to and nobody would blame me in the least (i'm a little chunky, so certain guys feel free to be crude and act like they're doing me a favor for beeing sleezy to me). its pathetic - but i'm tempted.

so my question is, for those of you that have done it, WHATS IT LIKE?

I'm not really sure why I feel this way. Today is his 8 b-day and I had a family party for him last night. He got alot of presents and was surrounded by loved ones. I am also throwing him a bowling party in Dec., but I am a single mom and money is tight so he is only allowed to invite 8 guests.
Today I took him bowling and sang happy b-day after dinner.
I always had tons of presents and lavish b-day parties as a kid, I am unable to do this for my son so I feel like a failure.
I guess I'm just looking for some support. I am trying my best, but I feel it's not good enough. Do I have a reason to feel as though I am letting him down? I am really upset. I wish I could do more for him.

Mommy Please Don’t Cry
By: Kenny P. aka- Cobra

I don’t remember how I got here,
Or why, I’m up above.

But I know I’m not alone,
In this place I’m speaking of.

I just want you to know,
that I’m doing fine, in this perfect place.

so try not to cry, and worry too much,
Because I’m in His hands, and in His loving grace.

So remember these words I say to you,
and promise me, you’ll carry on.

I’ll always be your loving daughter,
and I’ll be here, you’re whole life long.

It wasn’t your fault; this I know is true,
so never think, you could have changed it.

just remember, all the years we shared,
and that I’ll always be, in your loving spirit.

I am upset at an incident in our local supermarket, i took my disabled son in on a shopping trip, he has shouting outbursts (not swearing) and gets upset by strangers, anyway he had one on this particular day and pulled his coat zip up too high, a shelf stacker came running over and made a big scene, literally accused me of doing someting to him, which upset me and my other kids, i left the shop not saying much at all as not to upset the kids further but went back when they were in school and had a real go at this woman she got very upset, which i wasnt expecting and instead of feeling better about it i feel awful, like a bully. needless to say i havent dared go back in, was i right in what i did?

Like, what will they do if they don't get in to medical school?
Will they find a husband or wife deserving of their love?
Will they find a good way through this ever worsening world we live in?

Did you find that your worries were over-reactive or overly concerned?
And so on.

My husband belives in using spanking when our boys misbehaive or are disrespectful in a more serious way. The boys are my husbands but i adopted them legaly when we got married. My 9 year old hit me today and my husband wanted to spank him but i stoped him. We disagree on this method. Although our son is a strong willed child i think we should insist with groundings and bannings, taking priviledges away. Do you think that considering my husband is the biological parent i should let him have the final decision and not interfer ?
