Masturbating is really healthy... Would you rather him just have sex with just anyone and contract an STD? It does not have an affect on growth. Your poor son though, I would die if my parents caught me :X

Ok. So you've been masturbating and mommy or daddy caught you. It's okay just don't let it be all you do. And don't worry, it won't affect your growth. This is perfectly normal. Also, don't try any lotions or soaps you might end up causing a chemical burn on your privates. Ouch! If this happens wash with plenty of water, you might lose some skin but should heal quickly. Keep your privates very clean. All little boys and girls are curious about their bodies and will masturbate in some form and at some age. Now, remember anything you do in excess, that means way too much, is not good for you. So, you tried it and you liked it. That's fine. You are worried it is becoming a habit? Every once in a while. It's probably okay. Ten times a day...that's probably a bit much. [If there's a daddy or another male figure around that you trust like a counselor, ask him. They've done it too and they are likely to answer any other questions you might have.]
If you kind of don't want to do this too much, or perhaps your religion says it is wrong to do then try to think of something else first and see if that works. Like get ouitside and play some basketball. But, don't feel guilty or embarassed. It's a perfectly normal part of growing up. If you masturbate do it privately and be gentle with your privates your hands are soft, anything other than your hands could hurt you. Good luck. If I misread you and you ARE the parent this is what I'd tell my child.

Masturbation is a normal activity for all people. It will not affect his physical growth in anyway. You didn't mention how old your son was, but it is normal for all ages. Even babies and toddlers masturbate because they know it feels good but they don't necessarily know what they are doing.

If your son is young and does it in a non-private place, just let him know it is and activity that should only be done in his own room. Don't make him feel ashamed by it.

How old is your son? Your boys growth will not be affected no matter how old he is! if he is a small child, he is probably just exploring his body and not really being sexual, if he is around 8 or older he could be exploring sexually. but seriously he can't harm himself masturbating, its healthy and try not to make a huge deal of it, it will only make him feel ashamed if you do, just try to explain that it is ok as long as its done in private and not in the lounge room or shopping centre.
dont stress.

Where you been! All boys and MEN do that, as well as girls and Women. It is perfectly normal. You tell me 1 man including yourself or (opposite sex) that has never done this I'll give u a buck! Really, it's normal, Just hormones going on. Besides, It's fun to experiment, and if I were your son I wouldn't be very happy with you for advertising it. Haven't you ever heard of the birds and bee's with your children?

It's very dangerous for a boy to live with a mother who is so hysterically over-reactive to anything of a sexual nature. Get a grip on yourself!!

First of all, how old is he? Small children are interested in the sensations of their genitals. Teen-agers universally masturbate. In no case is there anything for you to become upset about.

Relax. He's normal. Relax so he can remain normal. Good luck.

no It will not affect his growth, its a natural discovery he found out that feels good to him. Don't let him know you know or that may embarrass him and he might think something is wrong. Maybe you can encourage him to play basketball or something out side more he will learn this is done in private only.
