they have seen so many animated children's flicks that they have suffered a major loss of IQ points?

Honestly Cali805Couple, there are three televisions here but of course the biggest and loudest is always the preference. They're not much different than us in that respect. I would think that as a parent, you would already know this ; )

*Raising hand* That would be me. I'm now listening to my 400th replay of cars. Before that was Toy Story 1 & 2., Ice Age, Monster's Inc, Finding Nemo, Robots, and if I still had brain cells, I could remember the rest but, hey...I'm not part of the Incredibiles. :)

Yes I used to feel that way...
But there is hope they are only small for a very short time before you know it you will feel REALLY REALLY dumb when you look at your 5th graders homework and realize they are now using letters in addition to numbers in math.... It's the new microwave learning technique they put letters in math so the kids learn english and math at the same time,... LOL
Seriously though they are only small for a while and even though you feel like your I.Q. is plummeting thiers is expanding and yours will return as they grow into higher grade level programming..

Sometimes yes! My toddler is majorly addicted to "Blues Clues" right now and I am going slowly insane because we don't have very many episodes and he will watch the same one over and over.

I like to watch them some times when I just feel like watching a no-brainier. My baby daughter just turned 35 this year.

No. We don't allow those for our children's IQ's sake. A side benefit is not losing IQ points ourselves.
