I am absolutely amazed! There are women out there who actually think that they can make decisions for their grandkids against the mother's wishes?!? Who do you think you are? You didn't give birth to this child, you gave birth to the child's father, years and years ago! Hopefully. What makes you think that you can go over a mother's head and why would you want to? Do you realize that you are completely disrupting the parental program mom has? Not to mention, confusing the kids! I have a step-daughter that acts like an animal when she goes back to her mother's house after visiting grandma for the weekend, and by the time mom gets her straightened out, she's back off to grandma's! It makes me sick! I take a huge amount of pride in being a mother. I have beared the responsibility of birthing, nursing and caring for my babies, which my mother-in-law had no part of, yet you say she has the right to feed my child fast food for breakfast, lunch and dinner with ice cream sandwiches in-between?

she adopted him as a baby. from the first time we met at 1 year old, he was attached to me. my aunt wanted me to be a role model for him. she said her husband and no one else would spend any quality time with him. so he was like a son to me, he even called me daddy a couple of times. suddenly, one day she just didn't want me around him anymore. she would punish him for small things whenever i would come down to hang out with him.
i know for sure he ran away one time. there were rumblings that he was trying to get to my place but i live about 30 minutes away.
i heard she told him to run away. after she found out he was over her daughters home she scolded him by saying his mom didn't want him and she then let her husband whip him.
i miss the little guy but i am out of their life.

Amber Alerts are being sent to cell phones but YOU have to sign up or they won't.
I feel it should be a federal law.
I am working on sending this to congress once I am settled with other priorities.

If you don't agree, why?
If you do, why?

Thanks for your input.

She just turned 1 and still doesn't walk. I stay home all day with her and the only place she wants to be is in my arms. When I don't pick her up the crying and screaming begins. When it's time to eat I'll sit her on the highchair and more crying begins and she'll bang her head really hard on the back of the chair. She basically cries for everything. I was wondering if it's a phase or that's the personallity she is going to have from now on? So I was thinking maybe she needs a little bro or sis to play with?

I know we're all busy. I'm a full-time single mom of two but we don't eat there. I cook, I make myself feed them right b/c I love them enough to get my *** up.
Why do we feed them so much junk and then wonder why they end up with diabetes, thyroid problems, anemia at 24?

I just knocked up another girl and I am running out of states to flee to. What are some other options instead of paying child support?

My kids spent the weekend at my in-laws' house. YAY!! Wait, that's not the question. :-)

When my husband picked them up on Sunday they were eating dinner. One of our sons didn't have much of an appetite and asked to be excused before he finished. My husband told him to take two more bites, then he could go. Our meal-time rule is to try everything on the plate, but you don't have to "clean" the plate (studies show forcing kids to eat can lead to eating disorders and obesity). My mother-in-law launched into a lecture about wasting food and how hard Grandpa works, blah blah blah. She told my husband the kids would have to "learn the rules at Nana's house" ~ basically saying (in front of our son) there's something wrong with our rules. Now, I don't mind if they bend rules regarding TV time and bedtime at Nana's, and they are actually a little more strict than we are on some things, but this is different to me. Any thoughts?

Mother left kids & moved out of state so she does not have to pay child support. She has no Financial/mental/physical/emot... obligation to my husband's kids- but she got married & has 4 more other kids. My husband is getting her for child support- then gets is life threatened by her husband promising to kill him because they cant afford child support! What do we do- live with the fear of threats (which most of it is talk- but you never know!) or keep on with the child support- becuase as a BIRTH mother has an obligation to her own children- not just leave them to have more, and not be responisible!

We have been married for two years and he is ready for a family. I'm like the idea of a family but I feel I need more time before I have children...We have talked about it but I just don't want to hurt him, or make him think i don't want a family...How should I go about this topic without causing a fight or hurt him???

There are definitely people out there who had children then totally regret it. Are you among them? If so, how long did it take you to realize your mistake?

Okay, if anyone of you have ever seen some of my other questions posted, you will know, this is a long story, so to try and make it short... My son has a dead beat dad who parents keep taking me to court to let my son be able to visit him in rehad and jail (granted they didn't care about seeing my son EVER, not even before he went to jail) Last time we went to court, something happen and it got postponed but we found out that he is currently in rehab awaiting trial for meny felony charges in which he will go to jail. But they are giving him weekend passes to come home. We have a old outstanding order to let him have supervised visits with my son everyother weekend fri-sun. If he gets out for a past, I have to make my son go or I'm in contempt. I have a lawyer who says there is nothing I can do to stop this. But there has gotta be! Can't I do some kind of emergency hearing to stop visits?

i have a 14 year old son and a 13 year old daughter,

one room for me and hubbie.
one room for hubbies computer stuff
one room for hubbies storage stuff
and last and smallest room for my kids to share (his stepkids)
i feel this is unfair and feel my kids should have their own rooms.
how would you handle this?
