caffeine is not good for young people. That's a fact. All other benefits will be there for them when they stop growing. Children don't need intervention in their health, as good diet and plenty of activity is enough to keep them healthy. If they aren't sick, don't try to medicate them. And yes, giving them something for the medicinal benefits is medicating them, whether it needs a prescription or not

Yes, Green Tea is very good for adults as well as kids. My kids (ages 4 to 12) and I drink green tea right from Japan. It is much better than what we get here in the states, which the American version is sweetened with who knows what, where Japanese tea is pure green tea.

I think it's better for them than black tea (the more common kind). Definitely better than pop, or sweetened sodas or drinks. Probably better than fruit juice because there's no sugar. However there is caffeine, so i wouldn't do it near bedtime. Still better is whole foods like apples, oranges, broccoli, eggplant, etc. But green tea is better than a lot of what people give their kids to eat. Better than mcdonald's happy meals.

Sure! Tea does not have that much caffeine, so it probably won't be a problem. The only problem is if your kids like the taste and if it is too hot. (Unless it is iced)

I wouldn't suggest green tea for infants of course.

you have to be careful...

(1) green tea is known for the energy that it gives drinkers...that and kids do not mix well
(2) green tea is known to help clean out your system. it could really give kids a belly ache and have them in the bathroom all night if the tea is too strong
