You are the legal parent? how can she take him away. Is she trying to accuse you of bad things to the authorities? If that's the way she wants to be that's her folly, you just continue to do what's best for your son, and expect your mate to back you up to her if she tries to make you out to be a bad parent. You as the parent decide when and where your son goes, she already got to do that with her kid's. Good luck with that.

Unless you are a "poor mother" then there is no way that she can do this.
If your not on drugs, keep the baby clean and well fed, and attend to his/her needs, then dont worry, she doesnt have a leg to stand on.
And why dont you let her see the child? It puts less burdon on you, and your husband, so that you can get more rest. As a new mother, you will not know "all" there is to know about child rearing, but, then again, a Mother-in-law, can spoil the child too much, but you can learn a lot from her, in rearing the child..
I wish you well..

Your mother in law cannot take your child away unless she can prove in a court of law that you are an unstable unfit parent. She has to have hard evidence. No court in there right mind would ever take your son away because she is mad that you won't let her take him when she wants. Your his parent...not her...

you're no longer being unreasonable in any respect. It wasn't ideal of her to easily enable you be responsive to of her plans without asking first. you may save her away. it is your new child. you are the mum and what you like and desire is the main needed. basically tell her that with a house crammed with human beings and your mom having a new child care corporation interior the domicile that there is basically no longer sufficient room. tell her which you will adore to have her stay for the time of the weekends. basically attempt to be well mannered approximately it as obtainable yet additionally be direct. do no longer provide her any thank you to get around what you like. in case you would be able to desire to blame your mom a sprint, it is nice. She might take it extra perfect that way. yet you would be able to additionally want to state which you wait for 3 time on my own which comprise your desire toddler to boot.

She can't take him away without proof that you are a BAD mother. Just because she wants to when she has her hissy fits is not a good reason. Don't be afraid. Tell your husband to talk to her DOn't worry everything will be fine
GOOD LUCK!!!

Where is your husband (her son) in this?
Most states dont have grandparent rights. No worries. She would have to prove abuse, neglect, etc to even start proceedings. Its not something the legal system takes lightly. She would have to have concrete evidence.
Bottom line....its your child, not hers. She needs to learn her boundries.

I don't think she can take him away from you unless she has some kind of proof that you are a danger to your son.
