I wouldn't associate with them for starters. It's a sign of their character that they won't support their children.

Honestly I would call Child Support Enforcement and report them. Being a mom who's ex is about 10-15 thousand behind. I know the feeling of not getting it and not being able to find the ex to get him to pay. If that they are court ordered then they should pay. Right or wrong that is there child that the money goes to.

There are several things that you can do...So first of all you need to relax. I know how you are feeling by being a single parent of 2. You can contact National Child Support "www.Nationalchildsupport.com' A lot of the time they will take you ex-spouse back to court for free and depending on your income will depend on how much you pay afterward. The will get the support out of their check (the regular child support and a little extra for the back child support)
You can stop visitation, until you get some child support, and you can also have them put in jail for not paying child support. I wouldn't do that if you child goes there a lot. You don't want your child to heard about how their parent is in jail.
You can also go to your local Dept of Health and Human Service and apply for the TEA program. They will send you a check. ( I think you can only do that if there isn't way to get your Ex-spouse to pay.) Good Luck

In my area it used to be handled by the District Attorney's office. Now it has been handed over to Family Services (the county office that also does welfare). If the custodial parent has a court order for child support, then the non-paying parent can have money taken from tax refunds, employment checks, or even have their drivers license suspended for non payment (I've been in a courtroom where this happened). To get a court order for child support, you have to contact the local courthouse and file paperwork for a court hearing.

Report them. It's against the law. Call your local Child Support Enforcement office. It's a state agency.

If I knew how to solve that problem, believe me the father of my grandson would be paying or behind bars. I can't believe how lax these laws still are. This guy hasn't coughed up a nickle since his son was born and he's working full time and is back living with his mommy, who takes care of him!
I don't feel that these guys should have to go broke for eighteen years, but they should be made to contribute to the care of their own child.

Call either your DA or AG. Also search on the internet for child support enforcement for your area. Good luck!

Take him/her to court to make sure there pay check is garnished by the state. So that him/her would have to pay the child support that is do to the mother/father who has custody of the kids.
