I'm expecting my first baby, a boy, in February! I really like the name Rhys but our surname is Rawlings! Do you think Rhys Rawlings is too many R's? Any suggestions, something a litlle bit unusual or unique would be nice and that goes with Rawlings? X

I bought both cuz i can carry the baby in the mosses basket & take it where ever i am like the hall when i am there or put it on a table in the kitchen when i am working there. So i can have a check on my baby when i am doing some work.I just want to know till how many months can i use the mosses basket for the baby.I also got a nice wooden cradle to use it during the night times. My elder son who is 7yrs old got very fascinated looking at the cradle and wanted to get for the baby that is yet to come. I also thought it would be a great idea as I can put it right beside my cot so that i can reach for my baby just by stayin in my bed. Just want to know if anyone found both the mosses basket and the cradle being very useful for their baby to sleep. I never used any of these for my son and he was always with me on the cot as he always needed me to rock him to sleep & he literally clung on me which gave me back aches & sleepless nights! I dont want to undergo that again with the new baby!

So now my 17 year old is trying to tell me what she thinks is my job.. Or my responsibility are. Such as buying food for the house..

She has informed my because I make the most money in the house that, that it is my responsibilities to buy food for the house.

Thank you very much... I am well aware of what my job and responsibilities are.

Might I also say that this is the 17 year old with an olmost 2 year old.

I might also say that, that 2 year old eats VERY well because of ME.. I also eat very well..

I have told her I refuse to buy her food when she gives her money to guys she is dating and buying new cell phones for herself when she gets 'bored' with the old one.. Or when she is coming in with clothes and what nots.. AND not putting money in the bank like she is suppose.

Tell me what my job is...? You can starve..

Call me evil... I can't beat her .. Can't ground her..Can't kick her out... I have to do something..

This note was left on a friends car..

Do not worry, nothing happen. But my friend now does things different when she goes into a store..

I am the stranger that could have taken your child.
I am the stranger that likes that you leave your child in the car while you run into the store 'for only a second'.
I am the stranger that likes that you think you live in a small town where you think it is ok to run into a store 'for only a second' while you leave your child in the car.
I am the stranger that even likes that your car running. Makes it easier for me.
I am the stranger that almost store your car that you left running while you ran into the store for a second then noticed you left your child in the back seat.
I am the stranger that almost took your child and sold for crack or what ever I wanted because you left them in the car and were more concerned with taking your purse in then your child.

As evil as this note was, she now takes her child into the store.

Ok so I was watching an episode of ANTM, and there was a girl on there named Jael (pronounced JAY ELLE). I loved the spelling but would prefer to pronounce it like the word Jail. I think Jael is a really cute name, but I couldn't really name my daughter that right? I mean .... Jael is Jail ... and that's what everyone would associate her name with right?... and my husband's a cop which would make it doubly retarded right?

Normally people pay me for baby sitting their kids. I baby sat 3 kids and I got a lot of money and they were GOOD kids. But, another lady I baby sat for had a kid and she was a monster. She went through the house screeming and drawing on walls and eating all our food (along with another boy I baby sat) and her mom didn't even offer to pay me. Should I charge her? the mother of the little boy already paid me.

Having my forth girl and want a short name for this one. I have always liked the name Beau but not sure if it is ok for a girl it fits great with my other girls names.
And if you do like it what about a middle name to go with it.

A year ago, I agreed to babysit for a lady I know who has two kids, a (now) 7 year old and a (now) 11 year old. We agreed I'd be payed $40 dollars per night, which was usually eleven hours of babysitting or so. Since then, the number of kids has increased to the 11 year old, a 10 year old, the 7 year old, and an 8 month old infant on occasions. Is $40 still enough?

It seems today parents are much more involved in their kids activities and hover over their every move. Is this a function of smaller families and is it a bad thing?

So... I know I shouldn't really meddle but how do I respond?
Ever sinse she met the possible father of the baby she has practically forgotten who her friends are.
Do I support her choice (as I know she is against abortion), give my honest opinion (abort the opportunity preventing bunch of cells, you're young and you have things to do before such a commitment).
She doesn't really talk to us anymore. I'm not supportive of her silly relationship with this boy, he doesnt make her happy. But I have never been in one my self, and I always think with my head, giving harsh judgments. She, on the other hand, thinks with her heart and forgets the seriousness of situations.
How should I respond so I can let her know that I wont abandon her friendship?

I'm wondering what the big differences are between the two. I've heard that your milk is best for the baby but then there are formulas now that are close to matching that. Is any way better than the other? This will be my first baby so I really don't have experience in this field. Just wondering what other people have chosen to do.

I have a 5 yr old and an almost 2yr old and suddenly I am feeling all I want to do is get away from my kids. It seems lately they are noisier and naughtier than usual. They are whingy and never tidy up after themselves, my 5yr old has come home from daycare violent and trash-mouthed and now I am at my wits end. Mostly they are both really good kids with terrific manners. It's just lately I don't want them. I can't stand the noise and the mess. No matter what I do I just can't be calm and patient. we have recently shifted house after living with my parents for over a year, I know the change is hard on us all, but I thought it was for the best, have I made a mistake? How can I get back to be a loving patient mother, cause this just isn't me.
