I bought both cuz i can carry the baby in the mosses basket & take it where ever i am like the hall when i am there or put it on a table in the kitchen when i am working there. So i can have a check on my baby when i am doing some work.I just want to know till how many months can i use the mosses basket for the baby.I also got a nice wooden cradle to use it during the night times. My elder son who is 7yrs old got very fascinated looking at the cradle and wanted to get for the baby that is yet to come. I also thought it would be a great idea as I can put it right beside my cot so that i can reach for my baby just by stayin in my bed. Just want to know if anyone found both the mosses basket and the cradle being very useful for their baby to sleep. I never used any of these for my son and he was always with me on the cot as he always needed me to rock him to sleep & he literally clung on me which gave me back aches & sleepless nights! I dont want to undergo that again with the new baby!

I am very specific that i dont want to put my baby in another room. I would like to keep an eye on my baby to stay at peace. Hence bought the cradle to place it near me. I might change the baby from the cradle and put in a crib when the baby grows. Yet the crib will be in my room. Just want to know for how many months did you use the mosses basket as well as the cradle! Just for some ideas. Thanks :-)

You should only use the moses basket until your baby can start rolling (around 3 months). The cradle can be used until your baby can start pushing up on hands and knees, pull her/his self up. I had a cradle for both of my kids, very handy.

You can use the Moses basket until the baby starts crawling out of it (once they can move around, you want to keep it on the floor unless you have an unheated basement (floor is too cold then). The cradle generally can only be used until baby is starting to think about sitting up.
