He is very good at following commands and understands a lot we say to him. He tells us when he has poo'd and has sat on the potty a few times.

Should I just go for it and try to get him out of nappies now?

I don't want to hear any nonsense about 'it's to early' becuase personally I think seeing 3 year olds in nappies is just plain gross and laziness on the parents behalf.

I grew up before there was television where I lived. I read, watched movies, and played actively. Games, sledding in wintertime, bicycles. When we did get television it was just on nights.

How can we go back in time to something like this? How can we save our children?

Best answer will be thoughtful and helpful.

using spray tans, having false nails and basically being treated like an adult. i was watching 'too much to soon' on itv 2 last night and one mothers attitude disgusted me. her 10 year old has tans, wears makeup everyday and refuses to have 'fat ugly friends' at school as it 'cramps' her style. the childs mother encouraged this attitude and said 'if other kids are ugly, thats their problem'. what kind of role model can she be. i have an 11 year old and i am by no means prudish but you have to draw the line somewhere. this mother said its the 21st century all kids are like that. but is it the fault of the parents in the first place? i would just like other people opinions on this, whether you disagree or not.

i want my children to be children. once they grow up they have their whole lives to be an adult.

Hi
I am 5 weeks
I need some advice on Ectopic pregnancies, all the websites say about it but not in much detail.

Is pain with the above constant and more than a period like pain?

Is it always in the abdomen, or can be in the lower back?

I have had some lower back aches on my left side for a few days but has seemed to have gone with rest, but i have muscle ache in my left shoulder....its not a pain it just feels like ive got a pulled muscle (sleep with a fan on at night!)

NO BLOOD or pain when i wee
I have no cramps today just my dodgy shoulder, my midwife said it doesnt seem to be anything to worry about but i just need someone to kinda put my mind at rest!

My baby is formula fed. I usually mix with Nursery Water, but I've just discovered that he is out. This has never happened before, and he's never used anything besides his bottled water. My mom said to boil water until the market opens. Is boiling really as safe as bottled?

One of my friends had a abortion about a month ago. This is her 3rd abortion. She will not use protection. It makes me sick and disgusts me. 3 abortions?? Thats just cold hearted. I have a 3 1/2 month old son. He is my life, my joy, my happiness, he is everything to me. I look at him and to think what shes doing just makes me want to vomit. Am I wrong? I cant even talk to her anymore. I want NOTHING to do with her. I dont even ever want to look at her again. She cant understand, neither can anyone else. I mean its just SICK, i cant say it enough. I even believe I was friends with someone like that. She has said, well I dont have to pay for it so I dont care. What is wrong with her?? Anyone else agree?? Would you stick by that person??? I dont understand her nor I never will.

sorry i know i asked a similar question earlier today. but this is a little different. my son will be 3 in a few weeks. for the past year i have been trying to potty train him on and off. if i take him to the potty he will go. and this afternoon i was more motivated than ever and had him in shorts, no diaper. i washed 7 pair of shorts. but i took him to the potty every 20 minutes and he almost always peed in the potty. he has no problem peeing in the potty. my goal it to get him to tell me when he needs to go. all day i kept telling him "tell me if you need to go pee pee in the potty" he told me a couple of times. but mostly it was all me taking him. he even knows that he gets a piece of candy if he tells me he needs to go and pees in the potty. and he likes candy but even that hasn't motivated him much. ok so here is my question: how can i get him to start telling me when he needs to go?

My family is on an odd schedule. My husband works nights 5pm-2am and it is quite a drive for him to get to work. So he has to leave an hour early and arrives an hour late. I am a stay at home mom and have a newborn and a toddler. (My toddler isn't old enough for preschool yet, so she has no reason to get up early.) I put her to bed at 11pm each night. She wakes up at 10am and has a nap at 4pm. We arranged her schedule so that she can see her dad when he is home. He sleeps until 1 in the afternoon and has to leave at 4 so he likes to have those three hours with her. When she would get up earlier she would want to take a nap at noon and would be down until 4 and he would miss her. So now we put her to bed late. My mom thinks I am a bad mother because I put her to bed so late. But the only reason I do it is so she can have quality time with her dad. Does this make me a bad mother?

i was just reading an article where two mothers of no relation gave birth each to a daughter on the same day. ten months later they discover than they are not the biological parents of this child. they tracked down the other family and they are doing a DNA test as well. they are planning the swap the babies before the end of the year. i was just curious to know what you would do if put in this position

My soon to be mother in law wants to stay at my house for two weeks after the baby is born. She mentioned it months ago and I asked my boyfriend to take care of it, as I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I really want for the baby to get used to me and my boyfriend and his surroundings. She has a way of being really controlling and I've had a few issues with her in the past. One of those people that is "my way or no way," I'm sure you know the type. So, I was talking to her on the phone tonight telling her that I had a few contractions today (37 weeks) and she said "well, I'm going to have to talk to my boss tomorrow about time off." So, I am assuming that this issue hasn't been taken care of. Can I get some advice on how to tell her without her getting upset (which is going to be difficult) that I do not want her here for two weeks? All that it will cause me is added stress.

My little boy is 4.

I have 4 kids and over the years they have all suffered the odd head cold or winter flu, or cough. But this one we have never seen before. My little one has really stinky, squirty pooh yesterday and today - he suddenly says- more poo is coming - but we don't get to the toilet in time - he says his tummy hurts and he has a slight fever.

Could he have eaten something bad? No-one else is sick - or did he not wash his hands properly? We are very strict with hand washing and even have a "pump" bottle of antiseptic hand wash gel at the kitchen bench. He is so miserable.

Because I am...
My father in law just started watching our son while my husband and I work. I gave him many bricks of my frozen breastmilk (about 10 6 oz) with the instructions to feed him those and I included a container of formula that was a free gift sample "In case of emergancy".
I am an avid breastmilk supporter. I frown on giving formula. Yesterday when we picked him up I asked how much milk he used he said "3 breastmilk 3 formula" I balked.
I told him that it was for an emergency. he said "oh"
This morning when I dropped him off again I said pointingly "I do not want him to have formula, I gave you that just in case I do not do my job and bring you enough breastmilk" I said "I would sooner throw it out but it was free and it is for "just in case". He looked me in the eye and said "OK"
This evening my husband picked him up and had a bottle that he brought home from his dads. I nursed my son and then a couple hours later I thought "Well let him finish off this bottle and
