Pregnancy & Parenting - 14 October 2007

My wife and I just found out she is about 10-12 weeks pregnant, however the baby is not in her uterus it is in her abdominal cavity. Apparently the placenta is attached to vital organs. The Dr said there is no chance she could carry the baby full term, about 30% to carry long enough that the baby may survive with help from NICU, and 70% chance my wife could die trying to carry the baby. Her liver and kidney could fail. We have 4 other children between 1 and 12. She thinks abortion is wrong regardless(I always thought so too). I now think we should end this pregnancy before it ends my wifes life and takes my childrens mother from them. She thinks she got pregnant for a reason(she had a tubal after our last child was born) and every child has the right to be born. She won't even really talk to me about it any more. She also hasn't talked to any family members. What would you do? Any suggestions on how to get my wife to see my point or am I wrong and not considering her. HELP

i have a 3yr old son who is quite happy to use the toilet with a potty seat for peeing in, but when it comes to pooing he point blank refuses. we have tried to bribe him with stickers and lollies but that doesnt work. he will hang on till bed time and when i put his overnight nappy on he poos in it. i never had this problem with my daughter and dont know what to do. can anyone help?

I have a friend who has been telling us she is pregnant, she went for a termination and the hospital removed one baby, she has said there was another very small baby there that they have left?? would this baby survive??

My friend has this wierd problem and she has written an email to me. What should I tell her?

She is 16, living in a 2 bedroom apt with her mother, father & brother. Her brother is 13. She shares the other bedroom with her brother. She hasnt finished school and cant move out.
Her brother mostly stays at home in his shorts and doesnt wear underwear under that. He says that he feels very uncomfortable wearing underwear. This has led to 2-3 very embarassing situations for my friend. Sometimes, he gets erections...and has to walk out of the room covering it with tshirt/hand.

Specially when he gets up, he always has a erection. Its very embarassing for her.

Many times she has caught him staring at her cleavage/a*ss/undies if she bends down or something.

She feels if he is getting erections, he may be thinking sexual thoughts or may be 'looking' at her?

Her mom feels that he is just 'growing up' and 'its just hormones' and feels she is 'worried over nothing'. Help?

I'm a 13 yr old girl gonna be 14 really soon and he's 15 and he really liked me until i asked him what grade he was in and then he asked me and then was like i'm sorry i can't date an 8th grader but, he thought I was older and its not a big difference, my friend is gonna tell him its the personality and what not, and not the age. There had been some issues with my on and off girl freind, but we still seem to have a connection which basicly gets me confused as to where we are heading..i had stayed the longest without seeing her which was more than 7 months and one thing lead to another and we had se x, due to too much friction the c odom ripped and basically its like unprotected s ex... I offered to take her to the chemist and buy some p2 pills which is for birth control and she said she has them at her apartment... i trusted her and know she called me after a week and sayed that she didn’t which is totally intentional shes mature enough 19 yrs old, if it comes to worse and gives birth and i do not accept to help her raise the baby will i be a bad person ????????

I have a 2 and half year old son and a 11 month old daughter. My mom lived with me for a while, now that she has left to go home. I am all alone with 2 kids. I think I can handle everything else, but not sure what to do at bed time. I had a good routine going for both of them, but to stick to it will require 2 persons. My 2 and half year old always want me to read to him for at least half an hour before bed. And my daughter gets rocked to sleep after a bath. What do i do to get both of them in bed at a sensible hour not having to leave one crying on the side? Who should i put down to sleep first?

My husband travels a lot for his job, so i can't really count on him and still be consistant with the kids.

and using other excuses for kids and themselves such as "it is only natural" or "it is only human" or "mistakes happen" for lack of self control and negligible behavior?

do you think they give excuses like that for their children's irresponsible behavior and are ok with it if they do get into drugs,sex or alchol during their teenage years eventually?

is that why kids easily nowadays get into drugs, alcohol and sex (become skanks, sluts and man whores) at their early teens since they are not reprimanded when they are young and think they can get away with it ?

is this a pattern of parents screwin up themselves at their young age and just ok with it when their children do it instead of standing up and stopping it?

I couldn't even tolerate the pain associated with my menstral cycle. The pains would make me pass out, vomit everywhere, and I couldn't walk. I ended up having to getting on birth control for it. So how would you all go about labor pains if you were in my shoes?

I didnt tear as such, just stretched and bruised. Unfortunately I washed myself with mild shower gel the day after ( i had had an epidural to remove my placenta so I didnt feel any pain at the time) and I dont know whether that has aggravated the bruised, stretched area. Currently I have to pee in the shower to help with the pain.

1) Did I aggravate the problem or is it normal to feel pain when peeing after giving birth?

2) WHat should I use to CLEAN down there?

3) And is there anything I can buy to SOOTHE the pain?

(PS - please dont lecture me about using shower gel - i didnt realise a bruise would become painful. I usually use shower gel down there with no problems at all)

Me and my girlfriend has sex today! Well, I cummed in her (Since she wanted). Now she's worrying about being pregnant. So we decided to go to a Pharmacy! We purchased this pill that was called, "Plan B" She took the pill 4 hours after I had *** in her. Do you think the pill, or the "Plan B" will be that affected? i have raised 8 yr old grandson. went to court to get custody. after year and a half. court gave him to her. she is unstable, violent, there has been child abuse and domestic violent in her home. i had a safe, stable, home of privalige. the court said that she is the mother and its in his best interest to live with her. hes afraid of her and does not want to be there. iv'e tried to send the boys gifts and she puts them in a garbage bag and puts them in my drive way. i have been the 8 year olds parent for 8 years, i can't believe they wont let me see him. its feels like a death. the grievfing at times is unbareable. devistaed in ohio
