there are sooo many to choose from but i cant decide what books to buy for my 17month old-to read to him, we're trying to teach him new words and reading ofcourse is one of the best ways, but we just dont know what to choose...oh nothing from disney! plz no disney lol

I had sex on my exact ovulation day,my fiance is gone for a month at work then home for 2 weeks,he had to come home for only 3 days but it was right when I was ovulating,hes never home when im ovulating,this is so rare and our dates will probably never match again,but why didnt I get pregnant,I do only have one ovary,but i was told that didnt matter,any Ideas thanx

Did you watch it last night they showed you a dead limp baby at 24 weeks.

That made me cry, as i said before i nearly chose that option myself once.

I think aborting at 24 weeks is discusting myself.

My baby has been happily eating solids for a month and has been eating a good variety of foods and was on 3 meals a day.
The last few days he has refused to eat anything.
His front 2 death are coming through. Do you think it's related to his refusal to eat?
He's happy in himself and sleeping well. The teeth don't seem to be causing him pain.

Any other ideas why it might be?

I'm not worried about it, and don't make a fuss about it. I'm just wondering why he's gone from eating such a lot to eating nothing.

I live in Alaska and winter is days away. I feel pretty prepared for witner except one thing.

How will I know if my toddler is dressed correctly?

I know it seems odd but she's not a big complainer and I winter here is dry so you don't realize your cold until your REALLY cold. I have a snow suit and hat and mittens for her but I don't want to make her too hot.

We started with just the coat (against alot of tantrums) and now I make her wear a hat and mittens too and I just don't know how to tell if she's too hot or too cold.

Any tips on things to look for or ways to teach her to communicate hot and cold to me?

Initially before the umbilical cord fell off when you gave bath to your new born baby, did you give a full wash or just a sponge bath? And also did you apply something on the umbilical cord for it to heal? If so what was it?

Until how many months did you swaddle your little bundle of joy? They look cute when they get swaddled. But some babies feel comfortable and a few dont. How about your baby? I basically feel swaddling the baby makes one handle the baby more easily. Care to share your views? :-) Thanks!

I was watching the news today and one state plans on giving birth control to 10 year olds. I was wondering what people thought about this. They must get parents permission, but what do you (mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles etc.) think. I myself want my child to be able to come to me if they plan to have sex (and will tell them so), but plan on teaching that it would be better for them to wait until they are old enough to be able to handle a child on their own and that I would prefer marriage. I just can't imagine having sex that young. I was still thinking about recess not boys and sex. I don't want my child catching an std or getting pregnant, but I want to provide it or a responsible adult close to her. Not a school nurse. Do they teach abstinence at all? When I went to school there were 16 year olds having babies and I thought that was young. What are your opinions?

He can say "mama" "dada" "uhoh" and "mmmo"(for a cow). My family is constantly asking me if he is talking more and telling me that he has speech problems because of his limited vocabulary. My son is six months old now, and I'm back to my pre-prego weight, but I still have really bad stretchmarks on my stomach, they were so deep and red at first, they are fading, but are still pretty noticeable.
