My baby has little bumps on her body. it started on her 4head then went to her cheeks, neck, back, arms and legs the doc said Eczema isn't contagious like a cold, but most people with eczema have family members with the condition. Researchers think it's inherited or passed through the genes. both my husband and myself dont have any family member with this problem. so my question is can a baby have eczema if it does not run in the family?

I've been having alot of mucus stuff come out. Especially when I go to the bathroom, there is alot of mucus in the toilet. Never experienced this...was just curious. Thanks!

My boyfriend says he will stop bugging me about this if you guys say my names are better. We both wrote down our top 3 names. I re-posted them below.

-His names-

X Guerrilla
Man Warrior
and "Brok" with no middle name.

-My names-

Caligula Rastus (Callie or Ras for short)
Aniketos Theobald (Nikita or Nico)
and Syria Cassius (Sy or Cassy)

Now honestly, aren't my names 100x better?
He says that short names sound manly, and the only long name he likes is "Mastodon", but that's not even a name! He gets his name ideas from movies and bands. :x

Can you guys think of any names he might like? I mean, in case he keeps on being stubborn.

Last month when I went to the Dr, I could have found out what I was having. My husband didn't want to know so I told the Dr I didn't want to know (Hubby didn't want to know last time, but I found out anyway and wouldn't tell him). Later down the road I made a comment about a gender neutral outfit being "too girly" and he said that from that comment I was having a girl. Turned out he was right.

For those of you who waited...Did you ever want to change your mind and find out to make planning easier? How did you make it thru without finding out??

For those of you who didn't find out, but then later changed your mind and found out...at what point?

I am having mixed thoughts this time about finding out. I don't want to know b/c it really doesn't matter, but at the same time I want to know so that I can have the perfect coming home outfit and everything already set up??

Kay Im 20 weeks pregnant and have felt the baby move like a couple times a day since 18 weeks but have not felt any movements for two days. My mother says the babys sleeping and is probley just mellow but Im worried. Is it normal not to feel active movements? When should I worrie and when Should I call Doc?

My son is on similac isomil advanced, and is very constipated. His poop is very hard, and he is uncomfortable getting it out. I've been giving him gripe water, but thats hasn't work. I called the doc. and he told me to switch his formula to enfamil. I dont really feel comfortable switching to that, so does anyone have any suggestions?

My 5 year old daugther was playing in the kids zone of our local gym when she saw a classmate of hers (a boy) playing with another boy. The two approached my daugther and the classmate told the other child to "slap my daughter in the face" which he did - twice. I do not know the classmates mother, but I know I will see her this week and I feel that because he was the instigator it is necessary to inform her about what happened (I would definitely want to know if it was my child). I am just not sure how to approach the situation and because I don't know her I am unsure how she will react. Have any of you been in a similar situation, and if so, any advice?

and he does not listen to our rules, and trys to take run of the house. right now i been looking for a place for him to move to.. i cant take his disrespect anymore, he also brings cops here daily and gets in trouble alot with law. pety stuf mind you, but police know him personlay and dont like him..my husband works midnites so he isnt much help. son is up all nite raiding our fridge and so forth, he does not pay rent or anything, just his phone bill. im asking here is it rude to just go get him a place to live, even if its a slum, since he cant afford much. but he is corrupting my house hold, has been since he was 16yrs old, now 23 yrs old...he refuses help or counsiling, he and i do not speak with out arguements he lies to his dad all the time on everything, he leaves all hours of the night and leaves my door open, returns about 10 min before his dad gets home, and usualy drunk. and loud..hubby had enough as well but feels sorry for him.. he also has a gf and baby..

I never used to let my son watch more than 1/2 an hour TV a day but I had another baby 3 months ago and I started letting him watch while I nursed her.
He's now totally addicted. If I turn it off he has tantrums that sometimes last literally for hours. He won't play with any of his toys. If it's nice outside we go to the park as much as possible because he will still do that. But the weather isn't always so great now it's fall so we're stuck inside more.
This morning he said he wanted to watch TV "all day" so, thinking I would try a bit of reverse psychology, I said "Okay, we'll throw away all your toys you can watch TV all day strapped into your high chair."
He said "Okay mum, I'll help." We packed all his toys into garbage bags and he sat in front of the TV from 8:45 this morning until he fell asleep around 3:30! I made him move once when I noticed that there was pee dripping onto the floor under the chair because he didn't even want to move to change!
Help!

My daughter is almost 7 weeks old and has been sleeping in the same bed with me and my husband. In a few months my husband is going to deploy and be gone for over a year. I know during this time my daughter will sleep with me. I was just wondering if it would be a waste of time to try and make her sleep in her crib during the next couple months. Yes I do know I should have made her sleep in her crib to start out with. I tried the bassinet and she hated it. Also I am breast feeding and it is easier to have her right next to me. I also have to be up by 0430 to be at work by 0630.

my husband and i adopted a sibling group of 4. ages 11, 5, 6, 20mo. everything was going fine until recently. all my children calls us mom and dad except,you got it, my 11 yr. old girl. and recently she has been very disrespectful to us. exspecially me. i don't require my kids to call me mom. but i do reqire them to respect us. my 11 yr. old thinks she can do what ever she wants and should suffer no consequences. she is very mouthy. and although she is almost a straight A student i hesitate to reward her for that because she is so ungrateful for anything we do for her. nothing is ever good enough for her. i love all of my kids very much. but i am almost to my limit with her atitude. and you would think someone coming from the situations she did would be more grateful. and actually at one time she was and now she is not. is this a normal age thing or is this something else. please help me what should i do. and how can i help her to understand that we are only trying to be her parents.

What are your opinions on homework?

I mean, I think it's kind of ridiculous that kids spend 8 hours at school each day and still have to bring 1 or 2 hours worth (if not more, for older students) of work home with them each night. Now, granted if a child doesn't get his work done in the time alotted at school then I think he should bring it home and get it done. But, I'm talking about teachers who automatically assign homework without giving the kids any time to work on it at school--it's strictly "homework".

What are your opinions on this?
