It would be a middle name, (we're thinking Bianca something Malta Diaz) and I was just wondering your opinions. Opinions on the rest of the name are welcome too!

Oh yes I know about the country- my grandmother was Maltese and we thought it would be nice to remember her by.

And just incase anyone doesn't know its pronounced Mol-ta not Mal-ta.

I think it's a nice idea. I don't agree with the others who say they don't think it's appropriate becaue it's a country. Have they never heard of names like Paris and India?! Just another suggestion.. You could use the name Melita. It means Malta in Latin. Go on, be confident

As a middle name, it is a nice way to honor your heritage.

Bianca is a lovely name. Bianca Diaz sounds great. I'm not sure what you intend with the extra middle name - honoring someone? The only thing I'd say is that Bianca Alexandra Malta or Bianca Isabella Malta could be a mouthful!

Reminds me of a malted milk ball.

I don't like Bianca, to be quite honest. It's got a very harsh sound to it and it's just not a very flattering name. Also, Bianca paired with Malta isn't the best combination since they both end in an "a" sound. They are too matchy-matchy.

Here are some other suggestions:

Brianne Malena
Bella Marie
Bree Mariah
Brady Marlene

Remembering the grandmother is very nice and because it's a middle name no one will hurt her feelings at school! Good combo!

I don't like it. If the first name Bianca ends with the "ah" sound, the middle name should not end in that sound as well. They don't go together.

I think its pretty for a middle name. I don't think I'd use it as a first name, because of its uniqueness. I am assuming you know that there is a country in Europe named Malta??

Well you asked ... and the answer is no.
Out of thousands of great names WHY would you think that name was nice.
If your intent is to honor your grandmother then use one of her names as a middle name , NOT the country she came from!
