When I married, I dropped my middle name, Noelle.

Should I use this as a girl´s name, or is this egotistic?

There is nothing wrong with using your name~ it's an honor for a child to be named after a parent.

I don't think it is egotistic. After all, it isn't even your name anymore!

Even if your first name was Noelle, I think it would be fine to name your daughter after yourself. I wouldn't do it because I don't like my name that much so I wouldn't want to give it to my daughter, but I know several people who have. I think it is a wonderful way to honor a baby's mother or pass on a family name.

Noelle is a really pretty name, by the way. :)

I don't its egotistical at all. I didn't but I know someone who named her daughter after herself. First, middle & last. Just your preference. I love the name Noelle though. Thats pretty & its spelled pretty also.

No, I didn't name my daughter after myself. My mom's entire side of the family used the same names over and over and over and over, and I wanted to be unique. If you want to use Noelle for your daughter's name, that's fine. It's up to -you-. People told me when I was talking about naming my daughter that Winter was a dog's name. Well, I named her that anyway, and all anybody ever says is "How beautiful!" Don't worry about what other people tell you. Your kid, your right, you know?

I did the same thing, only gave my daughter her middle name which is the same as my middle name. If you like it, do it, screw anyone who thinks that - you aren't egotistical are you???

Egotistic? If men can name their boys Leonard Howard Kukowski Jr. and Bobby Joe Gordon IIX, there's nothing off about giving your daughter your middle name!

Noelle is not my favorite name, but if it is of significance to you, go for it.

I didn't named my daughter after me. My parents chose my name for a reason.

If you like the idea about your daughter be named after you, just do it. I think the name Noelle is beautiful. It was actually one of me and my husbands fave names but my niece got the name: Noelle Grace.

If I ever manage to have a girl I'll name her after myself. My name is Teresa but I always wished people would call me Tessa. It's my absolute favorite name so I'm going to name my daughter Tessa Robin if ever I have one. I may do Teresa Robin and call her Tessa...either way she'll be named after me. I'll be giving her the name I always wished for. By the way I love Noelle. It's very pretty.

If we ever have a girl she will be named after me and my grandfather. His name is Carl and my middle name is Leigh, so she will be named Karleigh. Men have baby boys named after them all of the time, I think it's great to name a baby girl after her mother!
