Assuming you are pregnant already. Stop using at least a week, but that might not be enough time for the baby to go through withdrawal, depending on what drugs you are doing. So if they are addictive drugs at least 2 weeks you two will have to suffer. A newborns vital signs and apgar scores will tell them more then you want them to know if baby isn't done with withdrawal.

And if baby's urine comes back negative and they still aren't satisfied they will test baby's hair which will be full of drugs.

What a question. The mom should be seeking help now to quit not just worrying about the child being taken away when its born. Caregivers will know as a baby can be born and then have to go through the pain of cold turkey dependant on the drugs.

A baby deserves a mother that cares not just one that thinks about getting benefit money for more drugs.

I dont care if I get the thumbs down no child deserves a mother to poison it whilst still in the womb. Mothers that take drugs need to get a grip and seek help as soon as.

obviously doing drugs is never a good idea, not just when you're pregnant. you really need to find someone to help you sort this out. taking drugs during pregnancy is incredibly dangerous to the baby and you, but you also will find it very hard looking after your child once it is born if you're still on drugs. give up now, get some help, don't try it on your own. there are many people and associations out there which can give you the support you need. good luck.

Disgusting! You shouldve stopped doing drugs the day you found out you were pregnant. Everything you take in goes through the placenta and into your baby's system. It stays in the system for ages, longer than with adults because a baby's liver is immature and cannot digest these harmful chemicals. Stop with the drugs now. You dont deserve to have kids.

I think you are trying to see if you can take the baby away from the Mother who is doing drugs, you are not the Mother. Am I right? I think your question was read wrong by others, but I am not for sure. Talk to Family Services or Medical Staff at a Labor and Delivery unit at a hospital, I bet they could tell you. My time is about out on your question, but look in phone book or call local police for advice on who to talk to. I feel so bad for that baby.

If you've got a drug problem then so has your developing baby. You need serious help if your main concern is others finding out and not the welfare of your child.
See a drug counsellor NOW!

You shouldn't do drugs at all when you're pregnat! You could kill your baby! The last thing you should worry about is getting caught, you should be more concerned about your unborn child, who is innocent and doesn't deserve to be born addicted to drugs, with a birth defect, or killed.

Actually they can test the baby and anything you did past 20 weeks can be detected in a meconium drug screen.
