How are you coping?

I am going to the doctor to see if I have PCOS today after having dealt with menstruation problem for six years. What questions should I ask my doctor? I have a problem being on birth control. I don't want to be on it... at all. Are there other things that he could put me on if I do have PCOS?

ive got a lil baby who is 8 months old and ive found out im pregnant again. however, im worried, im in a difficult situation and i dont know what to do. i have a very close relative who has been trying for a baby for years, however they have been unfortunate not to conceive yet. then the other week i found out that they had been for IVF and this hadnt worked either. i know they are going to try again, but obv IVF isnt cheap. they are both very upset and i dont want to add to the pain of saying...'guess what im having a baby'. it was hard when i found out last time i was pregnant witn telling eveyone, i dont want people to think im unconsiderate. what shall i do?????

I have 2-1/2 year old son whose temper tantrums drive me nuts! Usually this is a result of not getting what he wants - bikkies, my stuff etc.

I try to be consistent - if I say no and he starts to whine, i will either relent immediately (like within say 15 seconds) or else continue to say no until he stops or ends up in T/O.

When saying no until the bitter end, i will not relent. If i get to putting him in T/O i warn him that he will go and count to 3 to let him know it's coming and give him an opportunity to stop.

He NEVER stops before getting to 3 and so i think that he doesn't understand. Also if i put him in T/O for 2-3 minutes he is still SCREAMING after that time frame so i leave him there for longer until he is quieter. But, if i say are you going to be a good boy now? he nods yes but upon coming out of T/O will then start up again for the same reason that he went in.

He isn't talking yet. His hearing's been checked ok.& he's not autistic.

Please help!

my right hip hurt for 2days, i couldn't stand up after lying on the sofa, couldn't sit properly and suddenly stops walking when it hurts..i dont think its a urinary tract infection because it doesnt hurt when i pee but i know its normal to hurt when pregnant but is there any way to avoid this?

I had my baby 12 weeks premature, he is now a healthy 2 year old. i would like to have another baby but petrified of having another premature baby especially cos i am really afraid of having a permanently ill child. Anybody who had experience? I would love to hear ur story/ advice. Thanx.

when i went for my scan i was 12/13 weeks pregnant my weight was 60 which is 9 an a half stones which was fine. i am now 16/17 weeks pregnant and went for a blood test today i was weighed and i weigh exactly the same is this normal or is my baby not growing my belly appears to be getting rounder but surely i should have put weight on i eat loads just a bit confused?

Like I said, my name is Cassandra, I have always gone by Cassie, but I am almost (gasp) 30 and it is starting to sound really childish. I don't want to go by my middle name which is Rose, it just doesn't fit me. Cassandra sounds really pretentious to me, can you think of any new names that might be derivative of mine, that I can go by? Please please PLEASE NOT Cathy. I have actually hit people for calling me that. Oh, and Sandra (Sandy) is my mom's name.

he also still has colic i have put him on solids cos docter said the colic normally goes when there on solids but he still as alot of beelake and i have to be carefull of what i give him incase of settin off his tummy ake any 1 have any ideas of why he could be gettin tummy ake so much or is your baby the same

Hey guys
I took a EPT yesterday i was 12dpo and was neg. I no this was pretty acurate but has any one had a neg but found out maybe a few days later that they were pregnant? Still having the cramps but no AF yet and bb's have been sore since 3dpo. Thanks

IHere is what we are seeing: He uses three words regularly, one of the words he uses we don't think he knows what it means. He doesn't identify any common words or objects. He doesn't follow any simple verbal instructions. He doesn't bring us things to show us. He often doesn't look when we point. He doesn't point. He repeatedly throws objects onto the floor especially if he becomes frustrated with them. He takes toys from other children at childcare and throws them on the floor. He does some repetitive but not very pronounced movements (flapping hands, shaking head, walking on toes). He often won't make eye contact and often doesn't respond to his name. However, I have been working with him and got him to wave three times and clap with the tv. He is also engaging in a tiny amount of pretend play. He often brings me objects like a telephone and wants me to pretend to answer it but won't do it himself. Could he have autism or does the pretend play exclude him?

Ok I have been thinking bout boy names for the future and I want something thats not common and I've decided on Kagen River Thomas. Is it okay to have two middle names? I love the name Kagen and the name River and Thomas is after my great grandfather on my dad's side and from my grandparents lastname on my mom's side. Sorta like a in memory of them. I was just wondering if it was okay to have 2 middle names and what I would call the little boy..Kagen, River or Thomas. Let me know what you think! Thanks

i normally dont eat after 7, but its like, at random times, i just get really bad heartburn, normally really late at night, like now for instance, its 2:01 am and i havent eaten anything for hours .. and i dont think you can get heartburn from drinking water .. can you? does anyone else go through this? and i cant take tums, they make me throw up. is there anything else i can do? thank you guys!

Hey ladies, im just sittin here almost 12:30 after midnight because I can't sleep. I have been worried, hoping, wishing, and praying that I don't start my period in 5 days. The docs blood test monday said neg, but it was a week early, and they said I could be and it just wont show for another week. So here I am feeling like im counting down the days but im so scared I will be disapointed. I tried so hard this last month, I caught all my ovulation days and tried every weird myths like laying hips elevated but for even over an hr each time! just to make sure. I never get cramps or anything till the day of my period, but it's a week early and I have constant headaches, chest pain all day long, tierd and thirsty, extremely bloated and very uncomfortable around my abdomin that I couldnt even sleep for two days, and could swear my uterus was blowing up and it feels kind of hard to the touch. Ive never felt my body act like this, I felt so sure but now Im just so afraid I wont be..sigh

My father in law has kept my sister in law who is 10 out of school for a year. they moved out of state for a month, then moved back, she was enrolled in school and then when the year ended he didnt have anyone to take her to school so he just didnt enroll her. I want to know the legal aspects of the situation. I am really distraught about this but there is not much that me and my husband can do.

My baby has a dry skin and appears tiny bumps on forehead and mild red patches on cheeks. Doctor told that his skin is dry so therefore he suggested some precautions. In which he advised for cotton wearing instead of wool, archylic or nylon. Now winter has been arrived. I am worried that how could I protect my baby from cold through cotton wearings instead of wool. Can any one help me in this regard?

My husband and I have the opportunity to adopt a child. This would be a closed adoption. our names would go on the birth cirtificate immediatly.
It just seems too good to be true. The birth mother had NO interest in the child. She wants NOTHING to do with him or her.
We have a home and are ready to be parents. We have so much love in our hearts. I can see the Pros But I know there are Cons....HELP

is it normal for my 10-week old to scream in terror during car rides? she has been on many car rides (you would think she would be used to it by now) and she is only ok when someone is sitting in the back with her, and even then not always. i have tried mirrors, toys, music, everything you could think of to try to calm her down, but she just screams in terror mostly. normally i just reach my hand in the back and try to stroak her cheek so she knows i am there, but i know it's unsafe as i am driving and need both hands. when should she grow out of this? i feel abusive every time i take her anywhere. :(
