Pregnancy & Parenting - 9 October 2007

Ok..I went to my doc for my routine visit, after exam, the doc
told me that my baby is breech and recommended an emergency c-section. 2 days later I went into the
hospital for contractions and found out that the baby is NOT breech.....is it possible for the baby to turn around in as little as 2 days or was the doctor just wrong and ordered a c-section
for no apparent reason....
The hospital told me everything was fine and things should proceed naturally...

Confused...

She was born 3 1/2 weeks early. She's about to turn 7 months old (on the 14th) and she sits really well with support, but cannot sit on her own yet. She falls over to her side almost immediately. She also cannot hold her weight very well when you stand her on her feet.(of course with support from me or her dad). She is pretty tiny (weight wise) for her size. Should I ask her Dr. about this or is it normal for a baby to be a little slow?

I'm 18, just in colleage. Your probably thinking, Wow! I must be stupid. But I have a kind husband, and he has a good job, the family's going fine, and we barely ever argue. We have one baby girl named Maria (mah-ree-uh) that just turned one, and I'm expecting a baby boy that we decided to name Eric. Do you think I'm too young? Nobody else really agrees that as long as I have a good relationship with him I'm fine!

I am 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child (back to back pregnancy) and I have only gained about 5 pounds. 3 of these is within the last month, and i never had any morning sickness. i started at 120 at 5'4, so i wasnt underweight or anything, but i am still able to button up my jeans. i had already gained 15 with my last one by this time, so i'm a little confused. i think that i am subconsicously trying hard not to gain weight because i worked really hard to lose my last baby weight (60 pounds) and i got pregnant right when i did.

I have TTC this month. I have tingly boobs and they have gotten a little bigger then normal. But this happened last AF as well so not a big sign. But recently I have had some sharp pains on both sides of my uterus. I had a little brown discharge but it's light pink now. I was suppose to start my AF on the 8th of Oct. and haven't. I took a Prego test last week around friday and it came back with a BFN. What could this mean? Should I wait till the 12th and test again?

He gets playing and won't stop and take the time to use the RR. WE have tried pullups and he stays dry, We hve taken toys away and he doesn't get upset, grounding doesn't work and we are running out of ideas.. Any suggestions?

I was adopted as a baby. I was talking to my mom the other day and she told me that my birth father never even knew about me! I don't know why, but this is bothering me now. I always thought that he knew. It's not like I'm going to run out and go find him, but there is a part of me that feels like he deserves to know that he has a child. Thoughts?

Many more fathers are taking care of kids and helping moms and we need to be able to change our children. I kind of understand building built before men got more involved. But I have been to brand new establishments with no changing table in the men's room or a family restroom. My wife has the flu so I took my daughter out on Sunday and three places did not have changing tables.

I am having a baby soon and need a middle name for my daughter. Her first is Janelle. We want to call her Janey for short. I would like it to start with a D only because my name is Jennifer Dawn and I want her to have my initials. i got mine (10 year) at the end of August a month after i had my baby (almost 2 months) i had sex right before...they didnt do a pregnancy test but they did do an ultrasound to check placement it had been a week since i had sex, IF i were pregnant would it have shown up then? and if not now that i have the IUD would a pregnancy be able to really take place?
i'm an idiot i know....condoms condoms condoms, anyway if you could please help with out passing judegement it would be much appriciated.

My doctor ordered me an ultrasound and blood test yesterday but on the paper it said threatened ab. What does that mean. Is it where the baby threatened to abort????? I just dont know. I know the baby is ok and its heartbeat is good and its still in the uterus. Thanks in advance for all of the answers.

Recently he found it in the toy box and now for like 3 weeks he carries it around like it is a baby. Feeds it , make sure it goes to daycare with a blanket. Has to go to bed with it. Its a lamb stuffed animal. Should I be concerned?

sometimes people make me feel that way. Or that because my daughter who is 22 months does not go to daycare anymore (she went for her 1st year) that she is going to be some anti-social freak of a child....doesn't that have a lot to do with parenting? Anyway, I sometimes feel guilty and that I'm robbing my daughter of something.
As a kid I liked staying home with my mom!

I have a nanny twice a week and she insists on forcing him to eat, literally opening his mouth and shoving food in while he cries. He does eat more this way, but I think she shouldn't do it and it makes mealtime awful.

All my son wants to eat is cheese and fruit, he refuses to try anything else. He is 30 months old, and is only 26 pounds. He's so skinny, he still wears 18-24 months size. The pediatrician says to just keep offering him healthy meals and he won't starve himself. What else can I do?

Ok so My Husband, Derrick & I are expecting a little girl soon. We have been having trouble agreeing on a name. He likes Kelsey Anne & I'm just not too fond of it.My mom HATES it. I like Hadleigh Elizabeth, Derrick is not fond of that. The only name that we can agree on is what we orginally were going to name our son, Nolan had he been a girl & that is Fallon. My mom is PO'd at me b/c she wants a Holland (her madien name) and while I like it to an extent, Derrick doens't. She keeps calling me her "last Hope" to have a Holland in the family is pressuring the HELL out of me to name her Holland. She says if I name it Fallon she will never be able to look @ her w/out thinkning cop killer b/c about 3 months after Nolan was born was when that girl Fallon talent ran over those two cops in Mt. Juliet TN. My dad was a police officer so she views this as a personal insult to him. Now I have liked this name since i was 16 and she wouldn't be named after the Fallon that killed the 2 officers
