I am having a baby soon and need a middle name for my daughter. Her first is Janelle. We want to call her Janey for short. I would like it to start with a D only because my name is Jennifer Dawn and I want her to have my initials. I wanted the name Jenna but I posted it on here and everyone thought it sounded to much like mine. So I am going for Janelle. So if anyone has a thought please HELP!!!!! Ohh If it is a boy it is going to be Konnor Dean. After my dad. And I am only spelling Konnor with a K because my husband is Kristopher and my 3 year old is Karson. And I have a 6 year old name Joshua.

I think I have decided on the middle name. It will be either Dawn after me or Debra after my mom in law despit me not caring much for her. :-)

i've often thought that if the first born at least carried on the first name of a parent through their middle name, tracing a family tree would be easier, and nothing wrong with using Dawn for the middle name. :) And Janelle Deborah is pretty. Janelle Donna Janelle Denise Janelle Diana
Anyway, congrats! I love all your names you've chosen for other children. Let us know when you give birth, ok?!

I would go with Janelle Rose, I think that sounds pretty together, I couldn't think of any D middle names that I liked.

Consider starting the middle name with a vowel sound, like "E" as it makes the syllables flow better. To start the middle name with a D, consider making her name Janella as the final vowel flows better to the hard D sound.
Janelle Elaina
Janella Dianne (which I would pronounce Dee Ann)
As for a nickname, my daughter Janelle is called 'nellie' by family and close friends.....
