I am 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child (back to back pregnancy) and I have only gained about 5 pounds. 3 of these is within the last month, and i never had any morning sickness. i started at 120 at 5'4, so i wasnt underweight or anything, but i am still able to button up my jeans. i had already gained 15 with my last one by this time, so i'm a little confused. i think that i am subconsicously trying hard not to gain weight because i worked really hard to lose my last baby weight (60 pounds) and i got pregnant right when i did.

That sounds pretty normal to me.

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and I've only gained 3 pounds. I gained only 1 of those during the first trimester thanks to morning sickness.

From now on you will start seeing a steady weight gain, so don't worry. I'm sure if something was not right your doctor would let you know.

I am 24 weeks and had lost 7 lbs (didn't even get sick), and just gained about 3.5lbs back the last month, so I wouldn't worry. Your body may be handling this pregnancy differently, or you could be paying closer attention to your diet since you did gain a lot of weight with your first. My doctor said I am fine, and as long as the baby is growing there is no problem. I wouldn't stress about it!

Good Luck!

You're fine as long as your uterus has been growing appropriately, and I'm sure your doctor would have said something to you if they were concerned about your weight or the baby's growth.

With my last child, I didn't gain a single pound until I was 22 weeks, and everything was fine.

Just talk to your doctor, they'll let you know what's normal for you.

I didn't start gaining until the third trimester really. My sister-in-law is 25 weeks along with her second and only gained 3 pounds so far. As long as baby is growing and healthy...there is no need to worry.

Since it's a back-to-back pregnancy, you may not need to gain as much weight, since you probably haven't lost the baby weight from the previous pregnancy yet (breast tissue, uterine weight, etc). If you're concerned, discuss it with your OB, just to be safe. My guess is that everything is fine!

as long as your doctor's not concerned with your weight than your probably ok. Talk to your doctor about your concerns.
