Many more fathers are taking care of kids and helping moms and we need to be able to change our children. I kind of understand building built before men got more involved. But I have been to brand new establishments with no changing table in the men's room or a family restroom. My wife has the flu so I took my daughter out on Sunday and three places did not have changing tables.

I agree, but honestly nothing will change unless more people complain/suggest it to the management. Doing so in wirting as well as verbally is probably best. In the meantime, just go in the ladies room, it's not a big deal, and if anyone looks at you funny, just say "sorry, the men's room doesn't have a change table. Are they really gonna throw you out?
Personally, as a side note, I think the whole idea of seperate men's and ladies rooms is just silly, I mean I would do away with open urinals, but I don't see the big deal. I go in the men's room often because my 6 year old sons insist on using the men's room instead of the ladies room. Some guys look at me funny, but whatever, it's not like I'm in there to check them out!

A lot of people just don't think of dads as being the ones who change diapers sometimes. Maybe that's not the case in personal thoughts, but when it comes down to it, the general public does not automatically think "dad" when they hear "primary caregiver".

It's sad.

One thing you can do: mention it to the manager each time. Don't make a complaint really, but just mention it. If enough people mention it, they'll start thinking "hey, maybe it's time to make changing tables available in men's rooms, too"

i have the same problem. i have 3 kids in diapers, and almost none of the shopping places around here have changing tables in the men's room. i either have to take them out to the van and change them in the backseat, or get my daughter to take them in the ladies restroom to change them. I've contacted many stores and restaurants arounnd here and asked them to install the tables. it would make it so much easier on all of us men.

When you see a men's room without a changing table, bring it to the manager's attention. They just haven't thought about it yet, but they'll take care of it quick I'm sure.

There should just be a "Changing Room" specifically for changing diapers.

because children spend more time with their moms rather than their dads and its the moms who does it more often.. there are establishments with a diaper changing table outside of both restrooms.
