Hi, I gave birth last Sunday by vacuum delivery and had an episiotomy. My midwife came to visit yesterday and I mentionned to her that I suspected that one of the stiches became infected? She had a look at it and one had left a little gap. She said that the best thing to do would be to have 2 bath a day with a few drops of tea tree oil or lavender oil. I am not in terrible pain but I am constantly loosing pus.
For you ladies who had the same problem, were you advised the same thing?
What do you think? I am seeing her on Monday again. Shall I ask for something else? I am brestfeeding. Is there any antibiotics that I could have prescribed by my GP without affecting my milk?

Then I taken it about 30 mins ago and it positive and now I crying as so scared!

I lost a little boy in 2004 whilst 18 weeks pregnant.

I too scared to tell boyfriend as he wants no kids yet.

I hope it does not sounds like "my girl" or something else.I'm spanish. I only can read english and understand it, but I never was in England and never speak english. I will live there forever and my baby will born there soon, so I don't know what's better for him "Michael" or "Miguel". His surname don't sounds like typical spanish, it sounds rather like Ball or Bass. What do you mean? (Sorry for grammar mistakes).

Hello everyone.. I have a beautiful little boy who is 17 months old. He was born in April 06. He did start to walk at about 8 months and is very mobile, he can climb, run, all of that. BUT..he has stopped talking and now just communicates by saying "da" to everything. He can say mum, but has stopped. I know he very bright, but is just being lazy, as I can undersdtand what he wants by grunts and moans alone? I have read to him, and tried to encourage speech but to no avail yet.. it really is like he has just given up. I should say, I do not mix him with many other young friends too often, I have no car so we spend the days together when my Husband is at work. Also, he is sometimes engrossed in the TV ads, to the point where I have switch it off to engage him, and some perticular ad's give him a fright, bring him to tears. I'm trying to have it on less, but I do watch more than I should as my car is off the road. I am puting on music now as an alternative, we have a dance but still no joy

I am going to feel like an old lady here but here goes....

My son got his first shoes just after his first birthday once he had been on his feet for a while. We went to a wee independant kids shoe speciallist and actually got sent away with nothing the first time we went as they said he wasn't walking enough. I was pleased they were looking out for his feet other than just beinginterested in getting sales.

Anyway, he has had a few pairs of shoes now. Everytime we take him he gets properly sized, gets a few pairs to try on and they check his feet several times to make sure they are fitting properly. They cost between £30 and £40 but I don't care, when it comes to his feet it doesn't matter, they need to fit properly.

Am I alone in thinking like this?

Why then do I see legions of kids between 1 and 3 in cheap nasty looking trainers picked up in the local supermaket? No one checks how these things fit, they don't come in different widths and are made of a nasty plastic.
