You cannot have a period whilst pregnant.
Periods happen when an unfertilised egg and the womb lining are being shed.
Some women may have implantation bleeding or placenta praevia (when the placenta attaches near or over the cervix) which can cause bleeding at any time throughout the pregnancy. Some women can assume or mistake this for a period.
It's impossible to have a period and be pregnant.
It really amazes me how many women do not understand their own reproductive system!

Do a pregnancy test if you are worried.

My friend had her period every month on schedule but had the shock of her life when going to her doctor in Sept for her annual physical and was told that she is pregnant with a boy and is due in January. Also two of my cousins had the same thing happened to them so yes it is possible to become pregnant while still seeing your period.

I am also ttc... my period came in September and was very heavy with medium size cloths so i had to have an ultrasound to determine if i had a spontaneous abortion but it was concluded that there was no pregnancy but a few small fibroids. I ttc again after my period ended (during ovulation period) but again my period came on wednesday right on schedule this time very normal bleeding but alot of cramping. ..i am also going to have a blood test done this week to see whether i may have gotten pregnant.

You could be pregnant and having a 'left over' bleed. I had this with my 1st pregnancy. mine only lasted a couple of days and was more browny red than blood red.
I also know a girl that had a healthy baby boy at the beginning of september and she didn't even know she was pregnant till 26wks because she was getting her normal period every month. It took a couple of us asking her if she was pregnant because of her noticeable bump for her to think twice about the possibility!

Yes some people still get their period while they are pregnant, if you start showing any signs such as sore breast, increased appetite, morning sickness or tiredness you should do a test or see your doctor. Even if you want to just put your mind a rest do a test any way.

No.....! It's impossible....! Being a doctor I can say it confidently. But, whether u like it or not; i'd give u a free suggestion that always use safety measures during intercourse. It'll not only prevent the undesirable pregnancy, but also eliminate the risk of S.T.D.
