no not at all.
most cinemas now have parent and baby mornings. it is great. you dont need to worry about your baby crying or making a noise as everyone else there has a baby and its quite possible that yours wont be the first to make a noise or cry.

It depends. I brought my son with me to see the The Day After Tomorrow, when he was 6 months old. He loved it. He watched it about 2/3 the way through, then fell asleep. Now at his age (almost 4 yrs old), he's not one I want to take to a movie, cause the last one he had a temper tamtum in, cause he wanted to run around and not watch the movie and that one was geared towards children. So, age isn't always the factor.

personally I wouldn't take my baby to the cinema and he is almost 10 months old, they don't have a great attention span, might be frightened of the noise and the strangers and it may completely ruin your time with your son as you might have to leave because of the baby crying or it needs to be changed etc.
Leave the child with a responsible person and enjoy time with your son then lavish your attention on the baby when you get back, it wont be long before she is old enough to join you and your son.

Hi,
Yes it may be a little too young for her as it can be dark and you would may have to leave the cinema to change her nappy and she may get a little restless as she would need to sit on you for about a hour and a half at least.
Maybe wait for a few more months.

well, that depends. if the baby is generally docile and can keep quiet and sleep through the movie, it would be acceptable to bring her.
IF however the baby is loud, and colicy thus disturbing other viewers in the cinema, its a better idea to get a sitter for the time you plan to spend there.
good luck.

Yes.
You have no idea how a baby will react to a film. As anyone who has gone through this period will tell you, just when you think you know your baby, you don't.
And it is possible that you might disturb the film for other patrons. So get a babysitter, and go watch the film in peace.

personally i dont see why the baby should go see the movie, because she is still too small. Perhaps wait a while the bring her. But there are baby movie nights in selected theaters

Unless it's a kid's movie or cartoon, then it is way too young. There is nothing more annoying than a crying baby when you want to watch a movie.

check with the cinema if you are allowed a buggy inside the auditorium as I wasnt allowed to take me 6 month old in with my 5 year old daughter - he is too big for me to hold through a 1.5 hour film.
If you are allowed in, get an aisle seat, take your baby's favourite blanket and milk, he/she might go to sleep for some of it. Perhaps take a pillow for them to lie on on your lap as they can get a bit wriggly.
