What could be the likely social situation two decades from now?

5-15 yr old kids are only the way they are now because of society's input in raising youth. Back then, tradition was much more stressed among families and friends. Now if a kid burps or snorts at the dinner table, you'll get a few laughs, a small disapproved sign of mum and a pat on the back from dad, to be general. But if that happened say 30 years, 40 years back, youd get a thorough scolding and a lecture after the meal about appropriate behaviour and what not.

So the point is, kids, no matter what parents try to do, will always end up how society moulds people to be. You could try influence by chosing your friends, and exposing your child to only specially selected aspects of their life, but living in a bubble isnt fun and healthy. You could never expect a kid to be an angel anyway, thats what being a kid is all about. Theres room for mistakes and time for change.

probably the television could have helped make the 5-15 yr old kids "not angels"

1. It's all relative. 2 generations ago, kissing someone killed your "angel" status.
2. More working parents, fewer attending grandparents, fewer siblings.
3. More money
4. Mass media & techonology normalizing our lizard instincts. Why play Pac-Man and read when you have Halo 3, TV and a webcam in your room?

Everything's cyclical, but I think things will get worse before they turn around (not in next 20 years)

Its happened cuz parents dont control they're kids anymore like in the old days tehy just alow them to walk all over them.I can only imagine it will be horrible in the future but hopefully kids will learn how to raise the kids of the future and it can be like it was all those years ago.

It stems from the kind of parents they have. If their parents were not made to behave, take responsibility for their own actions, and be upstanding citizens, then they lack the ability to raise their children to be well behaved, responsible for their own actions, and to be upstanding citizens. It's like the old saying, "Crap rolls down hill." Every generation will only get worse if they are allowed to run wild out of fear of hurting their feelings.

Parents quit parenting and wanted to be friends with the kids, didn't want to effect their feelings and self esteem. Basically parents lost their back bones and started letting kids run everything.

I say it is because they can have everything and not like when we were kids they don't have to earn anything to get what they want. earn means not earning money being good or doing chores.
