it's been about 9 months since I have been off the birth control and I finally just had a period a week ago!!! My period was normal and so forth, but my questions are, why did it take me almost 9 months to get my period after I stopped taking the pill, and since I'm not preggy yet (9 months unprotected) does it mean i'm infertile??? (also while I was on the pill I missed a few doses and was late often)

I am not fond of stuffed toys because unless they are machine washable it is hard to keep them clean. Plus when I lived with a friend who has 3 kids we had a lice outbreak in the house ( I didn't get it personally or our son)....all the stuffed toys were put in bags and had to be put up for 2 weeks. They hold any smell they get into them, you cannot sanitize them....I just don't really like most of them!

I'm twenty weeks pregnant with my first. The past two weeks I have been having terrible back pain in the mornings. I know that the only safe otc pain med to take is Tylonol, but not sure if its safe to take it on such a regular basis?

My 8 month old son has woken up the past couple of nights with a stuffy nose. He doesn't have any problems during the day time with it and he doesn't have a fever so he's not sick or anything. It just itches his nose and makes him too uncomfortable to sleep. We suctioned out his nose, the first night it worked but last night it didn't. And we finally just have to put him in his reclining stroller and recline it so he can sleep although he still doesn't sleep too soundly. We all sort of get this way at night I think because of allergies, but he's obviously too young for medicine so what are some ways I can help him so he can sleep?

my 6 year old son is actually a very soft hearted, sweet, caring little guy but he's usually so hyper. If he doesnt get his way (like going outside to play or what have you) he throws a fit. Sometimes his fits are to the point that he will slam doors-his mouth gets out of hand also. He doesnt cuss but he will definately talk back. He is constantly climbing on the furniture and doesnt really give me all of his attention very often. HIs mind seems like its running a million miles a minute. I am a young mother. I had him at age 17. I dont know if its my easy going parenting or if my son may have adha as my little brother had it and I didnt know what I should do. I dont want to see my son on medication and drugged up like my brother, but I want to do the best for him. Do I just need to be more disciplining and strict? He listens to his dad well. But not me-its like he doesnt take me too seriously

I'm 24 and I've been with my boyfriend for about a year now. I thought I was pregnant like 4 times but out of those four I only tested positive once...but I guess I had a misscarriage. Hi, i'm 22 weeks and 4 days and i know this is a problem quite a few pregnant women experience, i just wandered if you cared to share your tips.

The baby has been repeatedly lying on my nerve which results in varied levels of pain or discomfort.
It started with a numb/pins and needles feeling in my right thigh, and since has moved to intense pains, from my right knee up over my hip and around my back... it really is crippling. And she always has a habbit of sitting on my nerve when i'm out especially in a supermarket lol. I have tried jigging her around by gentle persuasion and by force (e.g) jumping shaking etc) and although sometimes it works for a moment, she always goes straight back to the same spot. Please help because it really is frustrating and embarrasing when i'm crippled over in a shop crying.

I'm sure you're all sick of school fundraisers by now. School has only been in session 5 or 6 weeks and already my daughter has brought home their SECOND fundraiser. I don't mind the entertainment books, it's actually something we use and buy every year anyways. But I cannot stand the Sally Foster crap. It's all over-priced chincey crap and the prizes the kids get are even cheaper. At the PTA meeting- they were up for ideas for their fundraising committee- they wanted some ideas/suggestions for fundraisers. Does anyone have any suggestions that they know work- but that don't involve selling "made in china dollar store trinkets" for $20?

How can a father have a paternity test done with out the mother or the 8 year old child knowing?
Perhaps acquire a sample from the child without telling the child what it is for - without having to go to a clinic? Is there a reliable method of testing that can be accomplished this way?
Any ideas would be very helpful - thank you!

Well, its really my nephew but he lives with us. In a few weeks we will be moving and we broke the news to him last night, he's 6. We always have problems getting him up in the morning but today was worse then normal. Usually when I go to get him up for school he whines a little and drags himself to the bathroom. This morning, he refused to get out the bed and when I finally did get him to go into the bathroom and wash up, as soon as I left the bathroom, to get the baby, he ran back into his room and locked the door, so I couldnt get in. My husband ended up having to take the door knob off the door, so that he wouldnt be late for school. He refused to eat his breakfast and he wouldnt talk to us at all this morning. My husband wanted to spank him for locking himself in the room but I am not a big fan of spanking. I think he is acting out because of the move and my husband thinks he's just spoiled, which is it? How do I disicipline his behavoir? I cant just let him off the hook.
