I'd like first or middle name suggestions for Endellion and whether you think it works with the surname Pendarvis.
Any other names are appreciated as well. Just some future planning and keeping my mind off of my fiance being in Iraq.

Just as you would think they're pronounced and Endellion is a female name.

No special meaning. I like the meaning of the name...Fiery Soul. It's Gaelic.

Isn't it funny how the ones "not trying to be rude" are the ones who are such? Also, how can one know what an unborn child will like to be called?

I've always quite liked Endellion (and Endelient, for that matter)! In fact, I wanted to suggest it when reading another post of yours, but assumed it was your own name. ;)
I adore real, but underused, names with long histories, and this is certainly no exception. The plethora of nickname options makes this even more accessible, since she could just as easily be called Nell, Nelly, Enna, Dell, Della or even the all-too-common Elle or Ellie, should she find it too long or unusual.
And as to the comments implying you should use a "normal" name like Emma and the like, popularity doesn't necessarily equal normalcy. The traditionally-masculine Madison is now in the top ten! Not something previous generations would find "normal." Likewise, completely created names such as Nevaeh are also counted among the most common choices. Far from normal, I assure you. Just because hundreds of parents suddenly latch onto the same name to the point of overuse does not make it a somehow better choice than an actual name that happens to be considered unusual.
For what it's worth, Endellion was a very highly-regarded saint whose works were so miraculous, towns fought over the honor of providing her final resting place. She put an end to the arguing by decreeing that her body be placed on an ox-cart and buried at the place the oxen happened to stop. End of story. ;)
A very intriguing choice, if you ask me!

I think since you have a longer/ more rare surname, Endellion might be too much as a first name.
Endellion Pendarvis sounds nice together, but it is complicated. If you love it, go with it.
A short middle name or first name would be best. Like:
Endellion Leigh Pendarvis
Endellion Nicole Pendarvis
Danielle Endellion Pendarvis
Nadine Endellion Pendarvis
Lia Endellioin Pendarvis
Lilianna Endellion Pendarvis
Lila Endellion Pendarvis
Rachel Endellion Pendarvis
I like Endellion as a middle name best.

Endellion Pendarvis is quite theatrical.
Endellion is certainly a refreshing, underused and yet authentic name with history - and a saints' name, to boot. With nicknames like Della or Ellie, you can easily reduce it to a pet name for a small child.
However, it is more heroine of a romance novel than kingergartener. And for that reason, if you decide to use it, I'd suggest you choose a very basic middle name.
Endellion Jane Pendarvis, for example. Or Endellion Rose, Endellion Grace.
I say this mostly because we can't know our child's personality at the time we sign the birth certificate, and that's too bad. My mother has an exotic name, and she's a bit of a wallflower. It doesn't suit her. She gave me the ordinariest of names, and guess what? Doesn't suit me. She's known by a simple nickname; I'm known by my less common middle name.
On balance, I think you'll find more people react positively to Endellion than not.

Endellion Pendarvis seems like quite a mouthful to me. Maybe if you used Endellion as a middle name...
Claire Endellion
Ivy Endellion
Carys Endellion
Brooke Endellion
Daria Endellion
Zara Endellion
Also, for some reason I think "dandelion" when I see Endellion.

Endellion is a bit long paired with Pendarvis, but if it holds special meaning for you, I'd prefer it as a middle name. First names I like are: Aisling, Mara, Daria and Kendra.

I do think the name Endellion is simply awful. Believe me, my name is Melinda, and growing up, I just hated the fact that my name was so different from everyone else's...it makes life tough for a child, honestly. The last name is such a mouthful, IMO, the first name should be something simple like Paige, Sarah, Ellen...
Also, you have to think of what the name would be shortened into-as nearly all kids with long names have them shortened--Endie? Lion? Delly? Do you like the sounds of those names?
If not, you might want to reconsider.

I think your child will come home crying with this one...Maybe Endellion as a middle name....
I have an odd name. Kids started making comments in 2nd grade and it still continues pretty much every day (I'm 36)....It's just such an extra pressure for a child to deal with....There were many tears shed over the years....Just make sure you want to strap that on your child to deal with. It will be her feelings that are hurt, not yours....

-- Ashlyn Faith
-- Madeleine Faith
-- Victoria Grace
