My boyfriend had asked me to stop taking my birth control pills because we have been deciding on having a baby. Therefore, I did! We have been having unprotected sex for about 4 weeks now and just today I started my period. Do you think I could be pregnant or is it to soon?

Anytime you have sex, there is a chance of becoming pregnant - unprotected sex and your chances are even higer. If you have your period (and it's normal), then chances are that no, you are not. If you have a period that begins a little sooner than normal and is lighter than normal, usually with a brighter pinkish/red color, then it could be implantation bleeding as opposed to an actual period. If you are unsure then I would suggest taking a pregnancy test. If you do not want to take a home pregnancy test, there are several places throughout the valley that offer free testing.

No not ususally if you have a period. But remember it does take some time for medications to get out of your system and for your body to return back to normal. It was 6mths after I got off the pill before I got pregnant. So give it a few more months.

Not if you started. Residual chemicals stay in your body for 6 months to a year, risk of birth defects possible getting pg too soon.
BF asked you to stop?! Run your own life, girl, you don't need a kid with no name. Sounds like he is a control freak. Get back on your pills!

Why are you trying to have a baby?
Are you married? Gainfully employed? Out of college? Living on your own with no help from parents/government?
If the answer to any of the above is "no" then you shoudl go BACK on your pill until you are in a better situation to have children!

yes you could be pregnant but since you started your period if it is normal chances are you are not. i myself got pregnant on the pill so anything is possible.

If you've started your period, chances are low that you're pregnant now, but no, it wouldn't be too soon if you were.
