It could be weeks, or hours! No one knows. Try lots of walking, sex, and get on your hands and knees and clean the floors. Those are suppose to help!

I was 4 days before my due date, 1 cm dilated and 90 percent effaced and my doctor said I wouldn't be going into labor anytime soon, however, I did that night but I had to walk around the hospital for 2 hours to get to 3 cm or they were going to send me home. Have you lost your mucus plug, yet? I did that the day before I went into labor. If you can, walk a lot, that will help. Good luck!

It could be another 4 weeks. Just enjoy the time you have because once the baby is here there will be no time for yourself. Go get a pedicure..

Sorry, but there's no way to know. You're on your way, but women can dilate weeks in advance, and stay that way...others don't dilate until right before the main event begins.
You won't know until you know. Good luck!!

You could have your baby any day. My cousin was 3 cm dilated and she had her baby two nights ago. Good Luck!

Every woman and every pregnancy/delivery different.
If you are trying to put yourself in labor, go for a nice long walk everyday.. it may not "throw" you into labor, but it will help ease transition into labor.
