Okay, this is what I think! First things first! It is absolutely fine to have to have two middle names! I do! So does my brother and a good friend of mine does too! Secondly I think it's great you're naming your child after your family. He will be happy to think he was named after his ancestors! And thirdly I think Kagen River Thomas *last name* would be great. If you think that's too long, when people ask for his first and middle name you can simple say Kagen River. I normally only say my first name and first middle name anyway.

It's definitely alright :) I have two, both of my brothers each have two and my future children will have two :) The way I see it - it's two opportunities to honour people as opposed to one. Or hey, if you can't narrow it down, you can always use both of your ideas!
Kagen River Thomas is different. I like the double middle name of River Thomas. Kagen I am not so sure about. Keegan might be easier and better? But if you're set on Kagen, then Kagen it is. I would call him by his first name, whatever that may be.
Good luck :D

To each his own. Kagen River Thomas has a rhythm as if it was meant to go together. I like it.
Nowadays, two middle names isn't so strange! Go for it.
However, a name that takes more than one line to write, just might be too long. If you have a second child keep the rhythm flowing and watch the length of the names. Kagen, River, and Thomas are all average size names, just the right size when you put them together.

Sounds Great! It's perfectly fine to have two middle names, especially since none of the names you have chose are extremely long or anything. I think you would call him Kagen since that would be his first name, if you plan on calling him River then that should be his first name. But I wouldn't call him thomas, the first two names are so unique(not weird) that it would kind of ruin it by calling him Thomas. It's sweet to do it in memory of your family, but that doesn't mean it has to be his first name. Good Luck.

Absolutely. Having been named after family members in the past can be a something to feel proud of. I know most people who have either 0 middle names, or 2 middle names, at least that I have met, have been very proud of being unique. My ex had no middle names and he thought that it was so unique that he didn't want any of his children having any either. There is only one thing you may want to think about, and that is future children. I'm not sure if you want to "save" some special names, so that all of your children may possess one, but it's something to think about! For me, as far as my two cents, I think Kagen is a lovely name. I like my names unique!

i personally only like one middle name, but that's my opinion.
i like the name river thomas. I'm not crazy about Kagen.
if you used Kagen, I would use the middle name Thomas.
i prefer to call kids by their first names also. so if you choose kagen as first name, i'd call him that.
river thomas is your best bet in my opinion.

I think 2 middle names is great specially if it is in memory of someone in the family or after someone who is or was close to you!
I also think it makes the name blend better
my son has 2 middle names John after my father and Conrad is a name that has been in the family for 4 generations now on my sons fathers side so we had to keep that going.
All my kids are going to have 2 middle names

i like Kagen because it compliments Kinnleigh (hope i spelled it right).
i would choose Kagen Thomas because it means something to you.
growing up with lots of names is not fun (drivers license, marriage license, etc).

it is VERY okay. those names for a boy is really cute and unique. I guess you can call him Kagen as his nickname... For the Hawaiians, the longer the name, the better! Good Luck!

Last time I checked, it was still a free country. Just go with what sounds right. Personally, I think more names are better. As the child gets older, he will choose which name he likes best and drop the others. It's good to have options.
