MAN!!! I told you to wait til a few days AFTER AF was due!!!
It's not due til 14 dpo!!
It's not uncommon for women to get negatives until they are six weeks pregnant.
Wait for a week and then test again.
My friend, who ttc for 4 yrs, had very irregular periods, and hadn't had a period for a few months when she got pregnant, so she didn't even know, she was testing every week or two, and didn't get a positive until she was 6 weeks!!
I'm still thinking of you, I hope you're pregnant!! (On a side note, let's wish me some baby dust too!!)

There are false negatives, either from testing too soon or other reasons that hcg is not concentrated enough in urine to read positive.
Normally you would have your period at 14dpo (14 days past ovulation), so your cycle isn't even late yet. It is possible to have a positive pregnancy test at this point, if you are pregnant, but there might still not be enough hcg to signal positive, even if you are pregnant.
If you don't get your cycle in 3 or 4 days, take another test, if it's neg, take another in 2 days, and if it's still neg and you are a week late, make an appointment with the doctor so you can get a blood test, as some women do not shed enough hcg in urine to ever signal positive on EPT or other urine tests. I hope you get the results you want on the tests. Good luck.

I'm going to be honest here and say that I"m not quite sure what you are talking about as far as 12dpo or 3dpo, but I'll answer you as best as I can. First of all, women who are pregnant, and take a HPT, 95% of the time register it as positive, that leaves 5% chance of getting a negative result. (This comes right from my "encyclopedia of pregnancy", my mayo clinic book on pregnany). So be sure to take a second pregnancy test. Most tests wont show a result until about 5 days after a missed period. Some women also tend not to get any positive results from HPTs, and need to go to the doctor for blood tests to get positive results. Just be sure if you are having the symptoms to keep an eye on them, in case of something else going wrong, and go to the doctor soon after your missed period, if you keep getting negative results and don't get a period! Good luck.

I didn't get a BFP until about 21dpo so don't give up hope just yet!!
Wait about another few days to a week and test first thing in the morning when the urine is at its strongest.
Good luck and fingers crossed!!!
