currently, my fiance and i dont have any children, but when we do, i will continue working. right now, i work and go to school...soon i will be a physical therapist assistant. my reasons to continue working is that i dont know what the future holds. i want to be prepared for anything that may come up. i see so many times where the man is the bread winner, and the wife chooses to stay home with the kids, but when the marriage is over, the wife is left with nothing but a broken heart and to raise kids. the wife, then, has to get back on her feet and hopefully find a job, so that she can support her family. she may luck out on getting a job if her age is a factor. im always thinking about situations like that. i just couldnt let my husband be the bread winner. he may want me to stay home with the kids, but i rather make money too, so that i dont feel like im spending his money. daycare wouldnt be an issue...yes, daycare is expensive, but thats why we have family.

I am a teenager of the 80's, child of the 70's, doesn't make it right, but, I grew up with my dad smoking pot and trying to hide if from me, when I got caught at 16, he said, "what can I say? I do it too and just know that everything you do in life, comes back on you" (his version of Karma, I believe).
My 13yr old knows I smoke, he says he can tell when I'm high, we've tried very hard to hide it from him, but, now that's he's found out he's like a little watch dog, so we hide all the evidence.
I know I"m going to get alot of flack for this question, but, I know I'm not the only parent in this situation, and I think pot is a much better way to relax than alcohol.

The boy's mother of the "friend" of yesterday's incident of touching, has informed her child that he is no longer allowed to play with this child. It was one incident, the child apologized to both his friend, and child's parent, and now knows what he did was inappropriate. Yet, the mother has banned her child from playing with this boy from now on. Is this unreasonable? Is she being overprotective to immediately assume that this behaviour will occur again?

Hi ladies just wanted to ask (without trying to go into too much detail incase I offend anyone)...

For the last couple of hours my nipples have been really tender and sore, and then my left breast felt itchy, so in true unladylike fashion I scratched it and when I checked to see why it was itching, a load of clear fluid squirted out of my nipple.

I just wanted to know, I will be 6 months pregnant next thursday and I wondered if it is too early to be leaking colostrum ?

Thanks in advance (no smarty alecs please)

Ive been reading that there are apparent guidlines you must follow in order to minimise the risks

Im not sure how you are able to follow these 'guidlines' when you are asleep?

Is it not a huge risk to take just for a more settled nights sleep?

I am not sure if i really want to ask this as i don't like being told i am wrong but please tell me if you think i am mad! I have been with my husband 9 and a half years. Both our children where planned by me only and the second i got pregnant and then we split. We then got back together and made a go and split again when my second was 18 months. We then decided to make a go again and i expressed to him that i wish we had planned our pregnancies together. So this time.... we have planned and today 10 weeks after we got back together -the test was positive. Now though, things are not looking great between us again! I don't know where the hell i am.. i want children and as many as possible but only with the same man. Any advice- NO SARCASM PLEASE.

My six year old son who is in 1st grade, already interested or likes a little girl in his class. I think this is ok and everything. But ...the other day When I picked him up from school I saw him holding hands with the little girl. I think he is starting too young to be doing these things. In my mind I want to discourage this kind of behavior but then again they are only holding hands. I don't know how to handle this or what to tell him. Should I ignore it or should I tell him something. By the way my son is not being exposed to anything inappropriate on tv or at home. In fact I don't even have cable. I only have the antena that allows the local chanels to show. And even this way I don't allow my children to watch tv during the week only on weekends. If I do let them watch tv it is only certain chanels like KVIE chanel 6. I am careful with movies I rent.

I want to guide him positively and wouldn't want him to experiment more later on as he gets older. Any ideas ??

When I had my belly checked out, they found that I was pregnant with triplets. A day later, I get my belly checked out again and they only detect two heartbeats. Did I miscarry one of the set of three?

I am currently pregnant with my first child, but we don't make enough money to pay for childcare which is about 900 dollars a month in this area. Is there any way that anyone knows of making about 2K a month at home? I can quit my job and stay home if I can do this!

I realize that most full time jobs are going to be from 8-5, 9-5 M-F. My baby is almost 3 months and Im ready to start going back to work. In order for me to bring home any income and pay for daycare, I will have to work full time. But I feel so bad to have to leave my baby in daycare for 9 to 10 hrs a day. How do parents cope with this?

My 21 month old daughter is in desperate need of jeans for this fall, but she has really short legs, apparently. The 18-24 months size jeans (like at Old Navy and Gap) are the perfect length, but are too little around. The size 2T jeans, however are super long on her, and cuffing them just looks silly. I need 2T sized jeans that are made for shorter legs. Any ideas???

Well, I loved it. I don't know why. A couple of people that I know who are pregnant now, none of them like it. Not many people I can think of can actualy say they liked it. Does anybody else?

For me: I was lucky, though - I didn't have morning sickness, I didn't have a whole lot of pregnancy type issues, except for a scare that ended up being okay (but we had to wait til she was born to find out.). When she was first born, I remembered pregnancy wistfully. (She was so much safer in there!!) Now, I'm starting to forget what it was like, but I know I always felt good.

My son is 19 months old, and I can't imagine him getting more "terrible" lol. He already LOVES the word "no," and he's mastering the art of the temper tantrum. Is he just a stinker, or could he allready be starting this phase?
