With my 3yrs old it’s the other way around, he is too tall, but he is so skinny.
I get him bigger size pants and instead of hemming them I put in a little on the waist.
What ever is easiest for you? A seamstress wont charge you that much if you don’t know how to do it

Hi. I have the exact same problem w/ my 2 1/2 year old son (always have). He is 36" but has a long torso and short legs. We are stuck in between 2T & 3T. I will say I have had the most luck at Target. I actually just bought a pair there yesterday and they are a perfect fit. They have the little strap inside that you can adjust like the Old Navy ones do but aren't nearly as long.
(I would try the 24 month, rather than the 2T. They tend to be shorter but bigger in the waist- for diaper room.)

I like the Cheroke brand jeans at Target. My daughter is on the shorter side as well. They have a nice adjustable waist so I can tighten themso they fit around the waist and length wise. If you are looking at other stores choose a 24 mo. over a 2T usually the waist is the same but they are a bit shorter.

my son is 2 and still wears some 12 month jeans depending on where I get them from. I go to the Children's Place or Old Navy. I hem all his pants. The cuffing idea is not a good one when you have so much to cuff.

Capris! I am very short and so my daughter is short too - we share the same problem. I buy capris to wear as pants and do the same for her. She is 12 mos, but wears 24 mos in Old Navy Capris. The waist fits perfectly and the length is good. It is the best compromise, but you have to stock up in the warmer months. There is a pair on clearance at Old Navy right now. Good luck!

Zana Di jeans for little girls jeans will fit your daughter perfect. If you lived in Wilmington Delaware I would give you the pairs I have of my daughters, because I needed just the opposite. Her Zana Di jeans though are cut too short, but fit in the waist. But when she gets a pair that fits too long, I hem them, and than take the hem out when she can fit into them better

Well, I have the opposite problem, but try this instead- go down a size, and find ones with an adjustable waistband, Faded Glory at wal-mart has them. My daughter is really tall for her age, and too skinny for 3t jeans to fit, unless I get the FG, and then I adjust the waistband. Also look for the ones with the little tabs on the inside, where you can roll up the cuffs and use the tabs to keep them in place. Also, consider capris, if they work for her. Good luck!

Old Navy makes that adjustable waste and I have had luck with Childrens Place... I have the same problem with my daughter... she is too tall and nothing fits her in the waist... so I buy a size up and get a belt... and then by the time they fit in the waist they are capris for spring. Improvise... that's all a mother can do! Good luck!

I hem all of my sons jeans. He is 12 months and has to wear a 12m pant. But he needs a 18m or 24 m shirt. I have to alter most of his clothes.
