I'm having the hardest time finding a boy name I love. I like uncommon but not unheard of or made up names. My daughter's name is Piper, so something along that line. Any suggestions??

I breastfeed my son, and I've always heard how a [new] baby knows who their mother is and how they recognize their mothers milk [and could supposedly pick it out of a crowd].
My question is:
For the babies who are formula fed - do they have the same connections with their mothers? Can they still pick their mother out of the crowd?
[my son is 3 months and I plan on breastfeeding him until he's 9-12 months]
I just don't want to lose any connection when I stop breastfeeding. When he is no longer breast fed - will he still be able to pick me out of the crowed?

[and for the babies who have NEVER been breastfed - can they pick their mothers out of the crowed?]

It's my first baby .. thanks :]

I am an 11 year old girl that goes to a normal Elementary school. I have a feeling my gym teacher is a perv. I've got two explinations and I want to tell somebody but who? The principal is a guy, and I don't know if any of the teachers would listen to me and my friends. But, here's the proof:
1. Last year he made the girls do push-ups and was looking down a specific girls shirt (she had "big ones"). The girl and her friends found out about it, so now the girls have to bite the neck of their shirt so he wont look down them.
2. In a recent gym class, he made all the girls do jump roping and the boys play volleyball. I was wearing a lowcut shirt that day, so he was looking at me. I saw him and I quickly got my sweatshirt and zipped it up. Then he stopped and looked at another girl.
Is this bad? Who should I consult?? I'm really worried and I want him TO GO! The poor girls like me shouldnt have to go through this!!!

I'm 14 years old, and I want to start babysitting to earn money but I have no experience at all. I've babysat for my 5 year old cousin once but it wasn't for that long. If I'm going to make flyers, what should I put in them? and do I need experience to start babysitting?

He's 14mos. now.
He's a climber and has already once gotten out or should I say fallen out of his crib, he has gotten his leg over the rail...
I am worried, but not sure he's ready for a toddler bed.

I have a female german shepherd who is 8 months old and every now and then she barks at me and rears her teeth at me while trying to grab my arm to get my attention. Sometimes I think that it is just playing while other times I fear that it might be aggresiveness. Though she does not show any other signs of being aggressive, I do not know how to handle this behavior. Also she gets extremely excited around children, which I plan on having in a few years. I want to get this under control before that.

Hey all....
Today i was at the gas station with my mom & my five week old duaghter Emm. My mom gave me the money & asked me to go pay for the gas so i got Emma ( she was in her car seat i didn't want to leave her alone in the car even though my mom was only like 5 feet away) & i was standing in the line when i saw the parents of a baby leave her alone in the car to go buy a soda. So i went over near the car & sat on a bench with Emma to keep an eye on the baby. The parents came back & asked me what i was doing & i told them that if i EVER saw them doing that again i would call the cops & cps. They got mad at me, & told me i didn't know anything ( i am a young mother). since i'm a teen & that it was perfectly safe to leave there baby alone in the car for a couple of minuter ( there baby was young too only a couple of weeks old).
How can some parents be so stupid? Has anybody else seen somthing like this?

Growing up and going through the school system, it was expected that all children could stay at the schools to eat--free of charge. In my community, this has now become a program that parents must pay for. For my children, I pay $200 per year--per child to have my children supervised over the lunch hour. (No lunch included--they must bring their own)

Recently, on the news, I saw a group of parents in the Maritimes complaining because this might become the case in their hometown. I myself, do believe that it is fair for parents to pay or else make arrangement to pick up their children and take them home for lunch. Teachers and school staff should not have to give up their lunch hours to monitor children. And $200 per school year is quite reasonable considering what you would have to pay someone else to watch your child for an hour every weekday.

Are paid lunch programs the norm now, or are there still Elementary schools providing this service free of charge?

itching down below? I know I don't have an STD, as I was just checked last month, and hubby is not cheating. We are trying to concieve - and we had intercourse during ovulation, since a few days ago, began cramping a little, breasts get more tender every day and have been real sleepy. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced any type of itching down below, comes and goes.

So i came home from work today, and my babysitter asked me to sit down with her. She has been watching my daughter for about 8 months (my daughter is 2.5), and weve loved having her. So i sit down with her and she tells me about how my daughter kept talking back to her, was misbehaving, and finally came up to the babysitter and told her she was stinky. The babysitter told me she slapped my daughter across the face. She said she didnt mean to, she didnt even think about it, it just happened. She said she calmed my daughter down and held a cool washcloth on her face for her. I was speechless...what do you say to that? I respect her for coming clean to me...but should i keep her employed here? She obviously felt bad, and has a concience, which is nice, but if she did it without even thinking...that makes me very nervous. What would you do?

Often, my 2 week old will fall asleep during her bottle, which is GREAT! However, I will try to burp her, and sometimes this will go on for upward of 10 minutes (constant patting and rubbing on her back in different positions) and it just seems to put her in a deeper sleep sometimes, and no burp. Is it necessary for a formula fed baby to burp at every feeding??

My husband-to-be (8 days!) and I have always talked about having kids right after the wedding. He is in his late 30s and we don't want to wait too long. However, we both got great jobs in Manhattan about 2 years ago and moved here to better our careers. I didn't expect things to advance so rapidly and I am now the breadwinner and have awesome income potential. I never thought I would make so much money in my life. It is really wonderful, however there is always a downside. My schedule is crazy! I have been to 7 cities in the past 4 weeks and can't remember a night that I have been able to sleep more than 5 hours. It is a rough lifestyle....the travel is really exhausting and I am constantly pulling all-nighters.

I am starting to question if I would be able to handle a this job and a new baby. I don't see how it is possible. I always hear from people not to put your life on hold for job, but how to you make that balance? Any working Moms out there with suggestions? Thoughts? Advice?

My 6 month old fell asleep around 6 pm (very early for bed and not his usual nap time). He is still sleeping at 8:45 and has slept through his usual dinner time. Should I wake him to feed him or let him sleep? And if I let him continue to sleep and then he wakes sometime in the night hungry, isn't that messing up his regular sleep schedule? What would you do?

okay so boy #1: Nick. He is the popular player and "cool" type and is always harassing me and has silly little "nicknames" for me.
boy #2: Carlos. he is kind of like nick personality wise and is always harassing me too.
boy #3: Matt. He won't stop talking and is always asking me questions.
boy #4: no name: (i can't think of his name!). he is in my gym and says pretty outrageous things and it's getting old.
then boy #5: Wyatt. i ADORE Wyatt. he showed he liked me in strange ways though without even talking to me. (he is trying to make me jealous and is getting teased so doesn't make it as noticeable)

they are very annoying! i am really nice to them though. i am new this year too. how can i get them to go away?
