More important than something that you might love for the moment is the process of picking a name. You should try to find a name that your son will love as well as you.
Names that have double-entendre ( Groucho Marx said of Peter O'Toole, the actor, that he had a "doubly-phallic name" )or are of ambiguous gender should be avoided. It should not be distorted by mean class mates into something that will be embarrassing ( unless you want to raise a boy who has had to learn to fight from an early age ).
The other thing is to anticipate what he will be called since many names chosen by parents become something quite different. Thus, William can become Bill, Billy, Will or Willy. These can have connotatons that are either pleasing or displeasing to you e.g. Bill Clinton, Billy Carter, Will Shakespeare or Willy Sutton ( the first a President -- pejoratively called "slick Willy" ), the second a drunk n'er-do-well brother of Jimmy, the third a genius and the fourth a criminal ). You should decide if you want a name by which your son will be called or one that will be replaced by something not of your choosing. E.g. Albert, Alan, Alfred will all become "Al"; Edward will become Eddy, Ed, or Ted/Teddy. Richard sounds regal but can become Rick ( strong as the Humphrey Bogart role in Casablanca ) or Dick or Dicky ( somewhat silly ) and Ricky ( perpetually childish ).
You have a name, Rebekah, that is biblical. You should search the bible for a name that is appropriate. Just pick one that doesn't have negative connotations ( e.g. Ahab or Nimrod ). If you don't want something that goes in and out of fashion ( e.g. Joshua is very popular now ), you can choose something less well known like Micah, Joab, Barak which all have good connotations from their place in the bible. There are so many that you can have many choices. Good luck!

Hmm....find a baby name book or look on the internet. My suggestions: Timothy, Galen, Reign(a friend of mine named her son this), Diamond, um...Spock! (just kidding!). I've read this book called The Thief Lord and some of the names in it are: Scipio, Riccio, Mosca, Prosper and Bo(real name Boniface). Now those are real uncommon.
You could also try some from the bible if you like names from the bible. Hope that Helps! Best Wishes! :-)
PS I would like to e-mail you when I think of more cuz I have a baby name book(used for characters in my stories).
:-)

i appreciate Reuben--it truly is so, stylish and wealthy and by no skill too effortless yet not so unique that it truly is extraordinary. it is also not too, 'council sources-y' Reuben Jake Parker sounds sturdy. I also love Christopher for an same motives yet i don't like it shortened to Chris or Chrissie. i appreciate Harrison for all a similar motives yet back, not shortened to Harry! Christopher James Parker sounds astounding and Harrison Ralf Parker sounds large, yet quite quaint. a center call could continuously be after a loved one. i imagine it quite is the wonderful way!

Hi Rebekah B, I ran into the same delima with my youngest son. My husband and I decided to choose from old names that came from the countries that our familes came from. We named our son Gavin Chase. A couple of other names that we liked were Tristan, Liam, and Hunter. My oldest son's first name is Dalley, and he's a Third. It's an old family name that I had never heard of before I met my husband. Good luck!!!

How about Peter (Peter & Piper...)! No, just kidding. If you are looking for something starting with "P" then maybe Page, Perry, Percy, Phillip, or Paul. Julia Roberts named her son Phinnaeus, but in my opinion that is a horrible name for a child nowadays. Not sure if you want to go this route, but you could name him Page Turner (your last name). Hope this has been somewhat helpful, or at least amusing!!
