All I have to say is YAY!!!! Somebody else gets it too! lol I absolutely love little girls who have traditionally male names. And BEAU is on my list of names for a baby girl. I have loved that name for a little girl ever since watching the movie Signs (with Mel Gibson & Joaquin Phoenix). And the little girl's name was spelled B-E-A-U as well. When the movie first came out and I considered it for a lil girl I was actually a French major. I thought everyone would think I was nuts for knowing French and yet still naming my daughter the masculine form (Belle is the feminine). But I don't care. She's my daughter! Not anyone else's. Just like this little girl is yours! If you like it, I say go for it! If I am blessed with two little girls the second will be Beau Jane as I'm totally obsessed with Brenigan Delaney right now for the first. :)

Beau: -I think that Beau is a great name. I love the meaning alone although the actual name sounds very handsome and masculine as well. Beau is strong and will stand up well for a man yet still could sound delicate enough for a baby or a young boy. -I actually don't know anyone called Beau which is a bit of a surprise to me as I have worked in Early Childhood and hear a lot of different names. -Beau Alexander, Beau Nathaniel, Beau Tristan, Beau Christopher and Beau Elijah Honour: -I live in New Zealand and over here we would spell it Honour as well although most people are used to the more common spelling of Honor as celebrities have used it so I would personally keep it this way. Honour seems like an alright kinda name to me but it doesn't amaze me and to be honest I think that it is a little trendy and may just be a name where you can identify when it's from. E.g Jessica is automatically associated with the 80's and Kayla with the 90's. I just worry that Honour would be associated with the early 21st century. -I know of no one called Honour. -Honour Elizabeth, Honour Noelle, Honour Kathleen, Honour Sophia and Honour Bethany I really like the layout and format of this question, it made it very interesting to answer :)

I love Beau for a girl. The name is so graceful. With people naming their children Apple and Memphis and Rocket and Blue, I think gender names are a thing of the past. My granddaughter will be Beau Emma. Love it!

I hope you knew that beau is another word for boyfriend, and despite that, still wanted to name your daughter Beau.
It is a pretty name, but I don't think it's really fit for a girl. Still, if it's a name you've always liked, go ahead and use it. Don't let my comment or any other peoples comments stop you from using it.

No. Its too much of a "serious" name to be a girl's name. Sounds masculine.
Dana Beau.. Short and cute.
Emily Beau....and so on...
make sure Beau is the middle name though.
