You should agree on a charge before you babysit of course. If this child is too hard to handle, is it really worth the money her mother would even pay you?

No, just mention that NEXT time you babysit you will need to charge extra if the other child will be there, that way it gets your point across that what you were paid was not enough for the two of them.

If you babysit to earn money, don't wait for her to offer to pay you. Just tell her how much she owes.
Look at it this way, when you hire a plumber, or take your car in for servicing, they will give you a bill when they're finished. They aren't doing it for fun, they are doing it to make money.
You have just as much right to ask for your payment for babysitting as they do for working on your plumbing or car.
Don't wait for her to contact you. Call her and tell her it was so hectic when she picked up her daughter that you forgot to get your money from her and tell her how much she owes and ask her what time you should stop by to collect it.

too late now. just in the future if you babysit her request to be paid and have the mother bring food. its your fault for the walls you were either not watching her properly and gave her crayons unattended or was watching her and just didnt get off your butt and take the crayons pen pencil whatever. put a lock on your fridge to keep them out also.
i used to do in home child care

Why in the world did you babysitt her child without her paying you when she returned to pick up her kid??? That was the time for payment. At this point, it is too late to say something.
Next time she asks you to babysitt, say no and explain why.

did you offer to babysit, and did you talk about a payment arrangement,,, you should have set something up like that beforehand...you can mention it, and tell the mother, about the behavior and see if she offers money if not then dont ever offer again!

Yes, charge her! Anyone who hires a babysitter knows that there will be a fee! (unless it's family) Tell her she owes you!

Not if it was just a one time deal. Just have her tend your child next time you need a sitter.
