I bled for 6 weeks after i had a c-section. My mom had us vaginally except two of my siblings and she said she bled for 6 weeks after she delivered naturally.
Have you been to your 6 week check up yet? Ask your doc. Good luck and Congrats

Some have bleeding for up to a couple of months, I think that depending on the heaviness of the bleeding and the color is the factor to consider but you should have a follow up visit soon and if not I would make one. And obviously if you fell faint or lightheaded or changes in mental status you should go the ER right away because you could develop serious problems.

Sometimes you will bleed for up to two months. The cut they made and the tearing you yourself did doesent make you bleed longer. Its just uncomfortable when you go to the bathroom and gets itchy sometimes.
I had a baby three weeks ago, a girl too and I can not wait until I dont have to use pads anymore. Dont worry it should stop soon enough. Congrats on your new baby!

you might have internal lacerations that hasnt completely healed after an episiotomy, a normal procedure during birthing where your peritoneum is cut to make your birth canal a little bit more lengthy in diameter. with this case, they might overlooked at it when they tried to repair your episiotomy wound. there are stages of the cut that you need to know. the ones mostly used are superficial cuts that involves your peritoneum. the 4 stage involves your anal canal and this is a deep cut. your suture lines might have split open that's why you need to see your OB right away.
the other cause of the postpartum bleeding might be an incomplete expulsion of your placenta, or placental fragments are still in your uterus. this needs urgent emergency assistance bec. total manual extraction of the placenta would help stop the bleeding. im just worried about your situation bec you waited for a month. similat cases would lead to hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) esp when the placental fragments has completely attached to your uterus. thats why you need to see you OB right away.

docs say 6 to 8 weeks at a max. it varies with each child my 1st i bled for 1 week 2nd I bled for 7 weeks 3rd I bled for 4 weeks and my fourth I bled for 4 weeks and bled hard didn't leave house but to go to doc, He said it was normal and if it didn't stop after 8 weeks to come back. It all depends on your body but as always if you are worried have a check up it can't hurt anything.....

If your stitches are bleeding then that's normal. But if it's not coming from stitches then call your doctor.
I was on birth control that was making me bleed. I spotted EVERYDAY for 9 months until they finally found a birth control that wouldn't make me bleed. If you're not on birth control then let your doctor know what's going on. You could have cystic fibroids or something.

Took me 9 weeks to stop.

The episiotomy (cutting) should have been sewn shut, if so - there should be no bleeding. If you tore & they chose not to sew you up, I guess there could be tiny spots of blood as it heals but nothing like when you bleed after delivering.

Some have it for a couple of weeks, some almost a month. I only had a period for like two weeks and then it stopped. I also had a tear, but that did not affect the length of the period.

If you're still bleeding then you should definitely see your doctor pronto. A month is way too long.
