what is the max temperture to take him to the ER? he has been running a 101.4 temp. for 2 days.

i'm the oldest of 4 kids and the oldest on my mom's side of the family and i noticed that when they were young and being excessively fussy, turning on the vaccum cleaner or the kitchen fan (and in the case of my nephew, very rythmic drum and base music) it put them right to sleep. i've heard of similar things from friends who have recently had kids...

i've found this a curiosity and wondered why this was so, any ideas?

I have a 6.5 month old daughter who has been eating her banana rice cereal but seems to hate jarred baby food such as carrots, mixed veggies, peas and strawberries. Each time i try to feed it to her she either spits it out, makes horrible faces and on occassion gags. I am a first time mother so i dont have an experience in any of this. Could it be just the texture or is it the taste? Are there any guidelines on how to make your own baby food? DO you think she may eat it if i make it myself? Also how long is jarred baby food good for once opened and refrigerated? Thank you in advance.

Im 18 years old, 19 in a few months and I have a two month old baby girl. In a few weeks I will be moving out of state, away from my mother into my own house. Im terrified of being on my own but I know I have to because of my daughter. I will be going to school part time and working part time to get by. Everything is prettymuch set up and Im there as of 3 wks. Any advise? house advise? baby advise? Please dont lecture me on my mistakes I've obviously heard enough of that already!! Thanx

I'm taking Seroquil for depression, it works wonderfully, but I'm noticing that the farther along I get in my pregnancy the more exhausted I feel after I take it in the morning. The doctor says I have to take two in the morning and two at night, so what can I do to help with the tiredness (ha, is that a word? lol) so I can concentrate at work?

My daughter is almost 6 months old and has been rolling over for a little over a month...but she only rolls from back to stomach...she doesn't really like it on her stomach so after a few minutes (if she lasts that long) she starts to whine and cry...I don't pick her up right away, but rather roll her onto her back before I pick her up, hoping to teach her...is this ok for her to only roll one way, or should she be doing both by now? And how can I teach her to roll from stomach to back?

My daughter just turned two and hasn't had her 12-15 month shots yet. We've been a little nervous about them. How do you space out your child's shots? My daughter is due for her DTap, MMR (the one I'm really scared about), HIB, Chickenpox, and Prevnar. There is no way I'm having all of those done on the same visit. So should I do just the MMR by itself and come back in a few months to get the others or what? No rude comments please.

The baby dropped into position about 2 1/2 weeks ago and 3 days ago I lost my mucus plug (I think im still losing a little still) Once when I went to the dr. they told me I was having contractions but I didnt ever feel them (lucky I know) so now my question is how will I know when its getting close to the time? Im already starting to dialate and I have no contractions to go by. Any help??

I am trying to get this baby born. I have recieved advice on Black and Blue Cohosh. (Has this worked?) Also heard raspberry tea...nipple stimulation...and Sex.... OK, so what's worked for you, and how did it come about??? (methods dosing, etc.) And yes I am well and Due to have this child.

My daughter started on rice cereal and diluted applejuice at 4 months. She will be 5 months on the seventh. She loves her rice cereal and it helps herstay full longer at night, she is breastfeeding more and more though and I was wondering if introducing a little applesauce with her cereal would be ok for her. She doesn't show any signs of discomfort with the juice. Any advice would be great, Thank you.

i want to have a baby! im 15 and a lot of guys i know say that they would help to get the baby. I have wanted my own for eight years, and i babysit and take care of babys a lot. I had to takecare of a 1 year old and an eight year old for a week without any help and i did fine. i do have enough money now and i am ready. why is it such a problem with all the adults?? its my life!

I have a sharp nagging pain under my right shoulderblade that's been on and off for a couple of weeks now. It kind of goes away when I move around or stretch. I asked my dr's NP about it and she said that it's probably just the position the baby is in (i.e. laying on a nerve). I've read that this could be a sign of gall bladder problems too, though. Should I be worried?
