i highly doubt that having a low iron count will effect your chances of getting pregnant...i have been anemic ALL my life and didnt have trouble getting pregnant..iron tablets can be yucky, the smell and taste will make you gag...use what the other ladies said, try prenatal, they are not as bad...
eat more things high in fiber and protein...
every womans body is different, some women can be the most fertile thing walking, and the hubby has a high sperm count, but cant get pregnant...i had a friend who tried for 3 years and was about to give up, they did the fertility testing and so on, everyone was healthy as can be...sometimes it all depends upon timing and how your body is functioning...it can take a while so just hang in there

take a prenatal instead. You will get enough iron from that. you should be taking one anyhow if youre trying to get pregnant.
Yes, blood that doesnt clot right means you're not getting a suitible uterine lining for the ovum to attach to.
You can also eat food fortified with iron. liverworst is nice with ritz crackers and has 33% of the iron you need in a day. Just a couple bites is enough to bolster your intake and make a difference. You can also get insure or boost fortified with extra iron to help.

You can eat foods high in iron and take a prenatal vitamin. I have really good iron levels but I try to still eat a lot of foods high in iron.

I am not sure if they can cause you to have trouble conceiving. My mother had to take iron supplements when she was pregnant with me over 30 years ago. She kept miscarrying before she got pregnant with me and the doctors said it was because of her iron deficiency. Good Luck!

your situation is not unique about not tolerating the iron supplements try this.....try cooking in an iron frying pan and scrape the botton from time to time with metal utensils you will remove only a small amount of iron from the pan but it will increase your iron levels my parents did this with me and my iron levels are high normal
