Best way (straight from my Dr) is sex, and then of course keeping active by walking a lot. We tried sex after walking a thousand miles (or so it seemed to me!) didnt work at all. It took a few nights to see much progress but by the third day I had dilated 2cm after being 'tight' before we started.

Try taking evening primrose if you are at least 36 weeks 2 tablet 3 times a day you can also insert 2 gel tabs vaginal when you lay down at night. These are used to soften the cervix and help it ripen or efface. Black and Blue Cohosh drink a few cups 3 or 4 a day. Raspberry tea enjoy have as much as you like it is used to strengthen the uterus and help it to function better. Nipple stimulation is used to bring on contraction some women are very sensitive to this others not so much. simple rub your nipples or roll them between your fingers 5 mins on 5 mins off untill you begin feeling contrations for no more than an hour or so. If the contractions come to hard and fast stop lay on your side and relax. Sex work becuase of a chemical in sperm ejaculant causes the cervix to ripen. I used evening primrose and had my baby the day fter my due date drank raspberry tea my whole pregnancy and used nipple stimulation when contration slowed down in labor. Good Luck and congratulations Early.

Well, caster oil can help if you are due.It cause your gastrointestinal muscles to cintract with can stimulate your uterus to contract.I used it when i was 41 weeks. I took some at luch time, with food about 2 oz and again at dinner.DONT TAKE IT LATE IN THE EVENING. then i put a drop of black cohosh in some koolaid and drank it, in the same day. That night my contractions started 2 minutes apart, and i had my baby the next morning.sex .This works in two ways to induce labor. First, female orgasm can bring on contractions. Second, semen contains prostaglandins. Prostaglandins work to help ripe and soften the cervix.Stripping the membranes - This can only be done by a health care provider. Your doctor or midwife will seperate the bag of waters from your cervix and this is thought to help encourage labor to start.Raspberry Leaf Tea - Rasberry leaf tea is not actually known for it's labor inducing properties, but it is believed to be helpful in toning the uterus and helping with labor.

Cinnamin stick tea - Take cinnamin sticks and boil them into a tea and drink. It actually tastes good so even if it doesn't bring on labor it may help you to relax.

Evening primrose oil - Evening primrose oil comes in small capsules similar to vitamin E. It is believed to help soften and ripen the cervix.

Walking - Walking may help to get baby to drop into proper position.

Visualization/relaxation - Relaxation can help with labor induction. Try doing relaxation exercisers. They are also good practice for when labor actually begins.

Pineapple, cumin tea, eggplant parmesan, and spicy foods - are another thing you can try.

If your baby isnt ready though, then nothing will work.Good luck, and try your best to stay relaxed during labor, remember that your body is built to do this and you will be fine.

I know this is blunt but sex works better if the man cums into you. It is a natural labor inducer. That is why Dr.s always say during preg. to make sure you use a condom. This was the advice of my Dr. when i was due. It put me into labor more than once. Sorry to be so blunt.

Nipple stimulation worked for me, my sister and best friend. I found that when I had Braxton Hicks contractions, the stimulation worked best. I've read about all that other stuff but don't know if it works.

I believe you need to be past your due date for this to be successful, but cod liver oil (as much as you can get down) . The best part being if it is successful, you are "cleaned out" and less likely to pass stool while pushing. Good luck!
