I'm taking Seroquil for depression, it works wonderfully, but I'm noticing that the farther along I get in my pregnancy the more exhausted I feel after I take it in the morning. The doctor says I have to take two in the morning and two at night, so what can I do to help with the tiredness (ha, is that a word? lol) so I can concentrate at work?

I understand it's normal to be tired during pregnancy....haha, this is my fourth one :)

My problem is that about an hour or so after I take it I feel like I'm floating or something, it takes a good two to three hours to get to where I can concentrate. I know caffiene is pretty well out of the question, just didn't know if there was something else I could try.

Thank you all for your input, I appreciate it!

You need to go back to your doctor and really make him listen to how you are feeling and how the medication is affecting you, it may be that the dosage needs to be altered the further along you are & if he isn't willing to discuss this possibility with you then talk to your obgyn (or another doctor in the practice)

honestly all you can do is get used to it. Make sure you are taking your prenatal but that is about it. Its just one of the many perks of being pregnant. I was and still am exhausted and I only have 5 more days left till my due date, and trust me it doesn't get any better.

Edit:

If it is the medication that is making you feel that way after you take it then you need to consult your doc. They may be able to put you on something else or figure something else out for you.

I think the exhaustion is more from being preggo than from the medication. Lack of concentration is a result of pregnancy as well.
